idk if this is a hot take or not but the way the media and some true crime content creators speak about CERTAIN perps genuinely infuriates me.

they call them monsters in order to dehumanize them because apparently they cant stand the fact that they actually were mentally ill teenagers who didnt get the help they needed and were ultimately failed by society. Admitting they were actual humans with friends, problems and emotions makes them uncomfortable, so by treating them as some alien-like inherently evil creatures with no feelings they get to mock them and make hurtful comments about their appearances.

this IS bullying, this type of behaviour is actually part of what ended up driving many of them to do what they did, and still does to this day.
