A LOOK INTO HER LIFE âžť Â BIOGRAPHY
When people thought of the infamous Aliyana Lopez; there was really one word that came to mind. Liar. Since the moment that she could talk, she loved receiving attention. That’s just the way she always was. It made sense when she was the only child. Her parents may not have been rich when she was born, but they made up for it with unconditional love. They spoiled Ali as much as they could; even managing to get her an expensive toy on occasion. It was perfect. Then Maribel got pregnant. Now don’t be mistaken; Ali absolutely loved all of her siblings. There was no one she loved more. Only now, she had to share her parents with somebody. The attention wasn’t all on her anymore. They had other children to think about. Add that to the fact that her father was going to medical school; while her mother worked multiple jobs to get by. The time she had with her parents was starting to fade away. They tried their hardest; they really did, but having multiple kids and jobs wasn’t easy. That’s when the tall tales began.
Ali was around five years old when she started lying. At first; it was little white lies. She would tell her teacher a kid was acting up, or maybe she would tell her parents that her siblings did something they hadn’t. Pretty much anything to get praise from an adult. Then her lies started piling up more and more. She told kids that her family was wealthy and she could have anything she wants. It got to the point where her parents heard the rumors around town. They wondered why people would ever listen to the words of a six year old; considering everyone knew how much they struggled. Maybe they were hoping the rumors were true, so they can snatch up some money themselves. They weren’t true, though. At least, not at first. The idea that they had money originally came from Maribel. Ali had always had expensive taste; even as a child. She had to have the most expensive toys. It broke her parents’ hearts when they couldn’t get them for her, but they were sure they could someday. They used to tell her that when the day was right; all of their hard work would pay off. They’ll have plenty of money and wold never have to struggle again. It sounded like a dream to Ali. One that eventually did come true.Â
Two years later and Ali’s lies were suddenly reality. Her father had finished medical school and was finally starting his job as a doctor. They weren’t filthy rich yet, but they were more than comfortable. As Julian began his promising new career; Maribel began one of her own. She had supported her husband’s dreams; now he was going to support hers. And what she dreamed of being was a singer. With the voice of an angel; all she really needed was her big break. She went out there and did whatever she could to get the attention of some big time record companies. She played on the streets, in bars, even late night clubs. Anywhere that would hire her. Until one day, she got the big break she had been looking for. While performing one night in a bar; she ran into a man who would someday make her a household name. He went by the name Sandy and claimed to be a big time talent agent. It turns out; he wasn’t full of crap. Although, they thought he was at first. By the end of the year; Maribel had released her first album. It seemed so fast for her, but it was really a long time coming. Soon, she was packing her family out of a three bedroom apartment and moving to a place that would change their lives forever.
Hidden Hills seemed like the perfect place to raise their family. Julian and Maribel wanted to give their children everything they never had growing up. Since Ali was the oldest and only eight at the time; they knew they had plenty of time to give their children everything. And they did. Moving to Hidden Hills was like coming home for Ali. It was everything she dreamed it would be and more. She had her own room, she went to private schools, and she had anything she ever wanted. All she had to do was ask. Her parents thought they were doing the right thing. After all, they deserved it. They worked long and hard to be able to give their kids everything. They had no idea the way it would effect them. Especially Aliyana. She was a sassy little girl with an attitude of someone much older. She had become, for the lack of a better word, a diva. On the rare occasion when she didn’t get her way, she wold throw a tantrum like her parents had never seem before. Sure, she was always a bit of a handful, but this was different. She had become entitled. As she got older, it only got worse. Much worse.
High school was the best time of Ali’s life. She was obsessed with being popular, so of course she did whatever she could to climb to the top. She was a cheerleader, homecoming queen, prom queen. She would promise people things; like tickets to her mother’s concerts, or backstage passes to places that she didn’t have access to. Most of her fellow students knew that she was full of crap, but they humored her anyway. Some of them dealt with her just to say they were friends with Maribel Lopez’s daughter. Others would do it to avoid her little tantrums, which only got worse when she was a teenager. She would walk around with her head held high; pretty much demanding all of the attention from her peers. None of them knew how much of an act it really was. Although she had a sense of entitlement, she was also an insecure girl. She was sixteen when she discovered that she liked girls, which scared her at first. Until the day she finally came out. Then everyone was talking about her. Mostly saying that she was full of crap. They all believed she was lying at first, considering how much she loved attention. This was wasn’t a lie, though. It was 100% true. She didn’t care who believed her.
As much as Ali loved high school; she thought she would love college even more. She had always been extremely smart. If she had focused more on her schoolwork and less on being popular, she could have been valedictorian. Her grades were still very impressive, though. That on top of having a famous mother meant she could go almost anywhere she wanted. There was only one school she had in mind, though. Harvard. She wanted to prove that she had what it took to make it on her own. By the time she got there; she knew that she was where she belonged. It was really tough at first. There were people who knew who were mother was. Because of that, they were tougher on her than anyone else. That special treatment she got in high school didn’t matter there. Despite that, she was still able to graduate. She was even offered a job managing a boutique right after college. Boston had become her home away from home. She had everything there. Including an amazing girlfriend. There was no reason to go back to California. Until there was.
Ali had always acted like the most confident person in the world. Since she was a child, she would walk around like she owned the place. No one would have guessed how incredibly insecure she actually was. She was dating a woman who worshiped her, but she still couldn’t help but think that she was going to leave her. Ali was crazy. She was possessive and jealous. It didn’t help that her girlfriend never seemed to be that way at all. In an attempt to make her jealous, she did something that she could never take back. She ended up in bed with someone else. A man, if you could believe it. Ali wasn’t even interested in men. She used someone she knew had a thing for her to get a reaction out of her girlfriend. Unfortunately, she had gone too far. It went from flirting, to kissing, to her actually sleeping with him. She had never been so disgusted by her own actions before. Which was saying a lot, considering she was best known for telling tall tales.
Of course her girlfriend broke up with her. Who wouldn’t have after what Ali did? Feeling heartbroken, she left Boston and came back to California. To Hidden Hills, specifically. In a house her parents had paid for. She always wanted to prove that she didn’t need to be sheltered. She could make it out in the real world. Until the “cheating scandal” blew up. She didn’t understand why people cared. Ali wasn’t famous. Her mother was. She did have a huge social media following, though. She always had. It was perfect for her, since she craved attention so much. She never cared about what people said about her. As long as they were talking. This was different, though. This wasn’t some lie she made up for attention. She actually cheated on her girlfriend. That wasn’t something she could forgive herself for. All she could do is try to move on with her new job and new home. She didn’t get out of Hidden Hills, but there were worst places to be. Maybe she would learn to appreciate it like she did when she was a child. As soon as she stopped feeling sorry for herself.Â
