Ah, you're talking to me...? My name isn't all that important, but um... I'm Takeo Hideyoshi, Super High School Level Acrobat at your service! But you already knew that, didn't you? Haha...

"There should be more to it then, shouldn’t there?" she leaned in closer, the corners of her lips curling into a knowing grin. "Look beyond what we’ve been told and read between the lines. Assuming the game is not degenerate, what are the mechanics by which being voted off the island could be advantageous?"

"I... Uh... Hm..." Takeo scratched his head. He wasn't sure how to answer the question. Exactly how serious was this smooth-talking female being? Every word from his mouth just crushed his pride more and more in comparison to the charismatic phrasing of the SHSL Gameshow Host. Determined to look composed, Takeo took a deep breath.

"Could you rephrase that?" Okay, now he just looked silly. The dumb smile plastered on his face added to the acrobat's humiliation. Takeo's cheeks burned red as he gave a little sidestep to the right, hoping to escape.

I Need a Hero | (Takeo + Akiko)

 ”I’m not going to kill you,” Akiko raised her voice. The girl was surprised at how she sounded, since she wasn’t one to talk loudly very often, "No one will kill you," she assured him, her voice become softer. He’d probably be fine, as long as he didn’t tag around her for too long, Akiko being a huge disaster magnet and all. Even if it was unlikely people’d kill on purpose, an accident could happen.

At Akiko's tone of voice, Takeo whimpered a little, but upon listening closer he realized what she was saying.

Yet...

"How can you s-say that? I-I don't know if I can trust you..." He shrunk down a little, trying to seem unnoticeable. But after thinking it over, Takeo felt that Akiko would probably be his best choice for safety. She was the only one he actually kind of knew.

"...I'm sorry..." he began, "I wasn't being nice..." Takeo sighed, straightening his posture again. "E-Erm... If it's not too much trouble, c-could we walk around together? I want to know what this place is like..."

I Need a Hero | (Open)

Murder. Murder. The word rang in Takeo's ears. Slowly, his face drained of color and turned sickly pale.

"Hold on... Hold on! T-This can't be--"

"This can't be right! I.... Th-There's no way..." He quickly stopped himself. Everyone else looked perfectly calm, but he was the only one who took the weird fox thing seriously. Takeo wiped his tears, trying to seem at least somewhat mature to the others.

Still, he couldn't help but whimper and sob a little. After all, he wouldn't survive in this sort of situation unless someone else was keeping him safe. And that wasn't likely, since he couldn't really trust anyone. Takeo began to wander off to a safer, less crowded area, but as if right on cue, he bumped into another student.

He let out a yelp, jumping back a little and apologizing profusely. "S-Sorry! Sorry sorry sorry sorry p-please don't kill me--"

W-Wait a sec! You don't know if we're going through with this! W-What makes you think we'll actually go through that whole murder process?!

Huh? Do you think you have a choice or something?

"On the contrary, tiny things can provide the impetus for all sorts of questionable behavior! We’ve all got a little Crassus in us somewhere" Shouko  gave the boy a sharp pat on the back. "Though in this case I have to question the incentive. Kill and leave the school? A little backwards for a goal, if you ask me."

The air in Takeo’s lungs escaped him at the pat. He choked and coughed a little, taking time to start speaking again.

"Th…. That’s—" he cleared his throat, "That’s exactly what I’m trying to say… T-There’s no reason to just… Up and kill someone. And I-I get that we’re trying to escape, but I don’t feel like that’s worth the trouble…" He sighed, frowning a little.

He balled his hands up into little fists and shook them in his childish anger. "You can't possibly force someone to kill! E-Especially because... You're just a tiny... Thing...!"

"A person named Hiroto, a girl whose name I forgot…" Akiko repeated to herself a few times and nod in confirmation, "And I saw a boy with nice pink hair," she smiled at the though of painting the pretty pink hair. 

She looked at the boy’s crossed arms and how he looked as if he needed another hug. Only maybe he wouldn’t find anyone to hug him all the time. Whenever she needed a hug, she’d hug her stuffed teddy bear. Maybe he’d like to have it for the same purpose? It’d be sad to part ways with Ichiro-kun, but still…

She quickly opened her backpack and looked from the bear to Takeo and back.

Takeo glanced over at her, then averted his eyes, squirming a little. He was a little nervous at this point. After all, what could he expect now? It wasn't like he just magically let his guard down at Hope's Peak like that... No, something made him pass out. But what? The questions were clouding up his mind.

Suddenly, he slapped his forehead with his palm.

"Ahhhh, how rude of me! Um! I didn't introduce myself! I'm Takeo Hideyoshi. Super High School Level Acrobat... What about you?"

She smiled a bit. She had helped him somehow and that made her happy, she just hoped that couldn’t cause any trouble to him later on. But hopefully she wouldn’t drain him of all his luck just because they talked for a few seconds, right?

"Welcome," she smiled softly and then patted him in the head. Hopefully that’d make him feel a bit better? But then, maybe she was pushing it her luck. Or more like his luck.

She nodded once he asked her if M.F, "You and the two other people I talked to,"

"Eh? Who'd you talk to?" This M.F. person was even more sinister than he thought. Kidnapping so many people at once and getting away scot-free (at least, that's what it seemed like) required tons of planning and skill. Who could pull something like that off?

Takeo scratched his head a little. Perhaps he hadn't considered the idea of this criminal acting nice to divert suspicion. In fact, this new possibility made him even more skeptical.

The young acrobat crossed his arms and shivered.

Akiko noticed the boy had just sat at a stump was crying and calling for his mother. Next thing she knew, she was by his side, giving him a quick hug, "I’m sorry, your mother isn’t here, but you’ll see her soon," she whispered gently.

Upon noticing what she had just done, Akiko scolded herself for aproaching anyone. But would she have been able to watch a little kid crying without doing anything?

All of a sudden, Takeo found himself in the arms of the SHSL Good Luck. In that instant, his breath hitched and he couldn't move. Then, Akiko's comforting words halted the flow of his tears. He shut his eyes and sighed. Soon enough, she released him and Takeo could speak.

"Um... Thank you..." he mumbled, still a little shaken. Despite the circumstances, Takeo judged that this person was trustworthy. After all, what kind of kidnapper would just hug their victim and tell them they'd escape?

"D... Did that M.F. person get you too...?"

A Monkey in a Cage || (Open)

It was finally the first day of school in years for Takeo. Sure, he was nervous, but at the same time, the thought of meeting so many other talented people excited him. Dressed in his favorite attire, the acrobat made his way into Hope's Peak...

...Huh? A dizzy spell overcame him, causing him to stagger back and forth.

That's... Not.... R...i...ght...

Thud.

Takeo woke up with a start, his face glazed in a cold sweat.

"Ah... W-What a weird dream..." He breathed out, placing a hand over his racing heart. After calming himself down, he took a habitual glance toward where his alarm clock would be.

Strangely, it wasn't there... In fact, this wasn't even his room. Squinting, the acrobat stood up. A strong chill washed over his small body. Shivering, Takeo stiffly stepped towards the bolted-up window. He pressed his palm against the smooth metal, flinching at how cold it felt. Suddenly, the gravity of the situation fell upon him.

He had to get out of there.

After nervously reading the unsettling note, Takeo opened the door, running out into the courtyard. The change in scenery refreshed him a little. Every morning at sunrise, Takeo would run out for a nice roll in the fragrant grasses of Ebetsu. Ah, the homesickness plagued his little heart...

Tears welled up in Takeo's eyes. Everything was so confusing, and his attachment to home didn't help. Even if the air was fresher, the courtyard made him feel caged, for he believed nature shouldn't be confined so tightly. Slowly, he made his way over to the stump and sat, sobbing quietly.

"Mommy..."
