Finally straining and bottling the creme de cassis and redcurrant gin I started two years ago and hoooo boy. They both smell delicious but I feel like it's a terrible waste to throw the fruit out. Alas I don't have much use for alchol-laden berrie mash in my day to day.

All but a shot of the creme de cassis made it into the bottle.

The color is beautiful and it tastes like a last goodbye to summer. Sweet but tart, with warmth from the grain alcohol lurking beneath.
