"Would it be alright if I asked for some of your magic right now? Yonaga-san's been talking at length about it -- and I'm pretty curious, haha."

“Nyeh?! A-angie did talk a lot about my m-magic…?” The little mage couldn’t help but feeling surprised about this. It wasn’t a good look for sure, especially since she was the one always preaching about how awesome and most of all real her magic was. Now she finally had the chance to prove it to someone who truly believed in it too! 

“Heehee, I see! So you’re one of the few smart people here, who know that real magic truly does exists, Amami? You’re lucky, then I have enough mana left to show you sometthing incredible.”

 It was a fact, that she’s sometimes even too lazy to perform her own talent to others, most people around here didn’t appreciate her talent anyways (or simply didn’t believe that magic really does exist in the first place). However, she could see the genuine excitement in Rantaro’s eyes, which motivated her quite a bit. 

“Prepare to be amazed. Fall to your knees. You’re about to see the popular summoning spell, by none other than Himiko Yumeno herself!~” That was when she took her huge hat off her head. Everything her one-man audience saw right now, was her petting the buttom of it though. He wasn’t supposed to understand what’s going on right now anyways. (This wasn’t a trick after all, it’s magic!) Once  she was done with that, she handed the hat to Rantaro, and right after that, two doves flew out of it.  

“Heehee! Sooo, how was that? Are you amazed? The summoning spell would be even better with my familiar, but unfortunately, I’m not powerful enough to summon it right now…”

“Tea? Nyeeh... Only if you add sugar or honey to it. Oh... and I want some cookies too! I need them to recover all my MP points I wasted here so far...!”

(Time for some Himiko angst and V3 spoilers) Himiko’s trapped in a cold and hard place where Shuichi and Maki are poisoned and Himiko has the antidote, but there’s one antidote. She can only save one of her friends. Two of the most useful survivors having to rely on the useless one to save them. I love a good drama.

“Saihara and Harukawa both poisoned...?! Ny-nyeeeh!! It wouldn’t matter! There’s no way I can choose one, so I’ll just have to heal them both with my powerful magic, even though wasting so much mp at once is a pain... B-but, I’m NOT useless! S-so... I’m gonna save them BOTH!”

“Nyeeeeh. If you promise to don’t come too close to me, I guess could show you a bit of my magic to make you feel better… But really only if you keep some distance, your germs are gross for sure.”

“N-No worries, I won’t try to get too close…” And just to make sure, he takes a few more steps back. He really wouldn’t wish for Himiko to get sick because of him, so he wasn’t mad about that.

“And magic to make me feel better…?” He couldn’t guess what that could possibly mean, so he was a tad confused, but curious. “Ah, sure, then….”

“Heehee, so you finally believe in my magic? Then wait and be amazed by the Ultimate Magician Himiko Yumeno herself!” To be honest, she didn’t really expect him to agree to her offer, so what should she do? Oh now she got an idea! “Uhm...I can’t do it here, b-but that’s okay... to perform it, I need to go to the dining hall first, so you should be a good boy and wait in your room, got it?” 

That’s when she rushed with little steps towards the dining hall, in order to prepare the Ultimate Detective a tea. She wasn’t usually the type to take care of people, but Shuichi helped her out already a lot of times too, so preparing him a ‘magic potion’ was the least she could do for him, right? 

After a little while, she knocked on his door again, with the other hand she shold the cup of tea magical broth she just prepared for him. “Open up, Saihara! Make yourself reeeaaady and drink a potion filled with my maaaagiiic. With that, you should get healthy again in no time!”

Meet pregame Himiko: Himawari Yamane

- She isn’t as lazy as Himiko is. She’s still a girl that slacks off in school a lot and rather plays mobile games instead of paying attention in class, but she isn’t too lazy to defend herself and stuff like Himiko most of the time is. 

- Magic? Maybe in the girls manga she secretly reads, it’s a topic she likes, but she doesn’t know how to perform any tricks, nor does she think that she is a mage at all. 

-However, she does have a weakness for performances of magicians, but that’s not “hip” and “cool” so she wouldn’t admit that so easily.

- Yes, she always wants to belong to the hip and cool girls, she’s also pretty full of herself and very shallow. Some would describe her as a rude girl that enjoys to bully the weaker students...

- Himawari’s also most likely the type to have no real friends, beside some shallow group of self absorbed chicks. Befriending someone on a deeper level, would be a very new experience for her, but it also would be hard to reach her softer side, since she’s a self absorbed bully herself.

- She’s also a huge fan of Danganronpa, since it’s trendy, it’s of course a must-watch for her. Her favorite characters are always either the most handsome guys or the girls who wear the most fashionable clothes. yes, like I said, she’s very shallow lol-

- One thing she still shares with Himiko, is that both rather have a childish personality and both aren’t the most brightest tool in the sheds...

Someone must have opened the cage without my permission again...” The mage knew exactly why she explained what happened to the boy in front of her. The Ultimate Detective surely was already trained in returning lost animals backto  their owner, right?  “Hey, Saihara... you’re a detective so... can you get them back? Catching them is always such a pain, because they can fly away reaaally fast. And I don’t have enough MP left, to teleport them back into their cage right now either...”  Confident that the one in front of her would agree to fullfill her request, she smiled proudly. It was a good idea to ask Saihara to do all the exhausting work for her.

“Yep! We should use your talent to help me instead, don’t you think so too? We can’t always rely on my magic alone after all!”

“Ouma, what are you doing here? Did you finally realize how great and powerful my magic is? Y-you better not try anything shady, or I’ll get mad!! Don’t do anything to provoke a powerful mage like me! A-after all, I could summon my familiar anytime, y’know?!” Of course like always, Himiko was a really bad liar, so she couldn’t help but starting to sweat before finishing her threat. “Even the Supreme Leader of Evil would stand no chance against a white tiger! S-so you better run away fast!” Well, first off, her familiar wasn’t here with her right now, and second... it was a tiger kub, so nothing too dangerous either. But there was no way Ouma would know all this, right...?
