Hey, are you an artist or writer with WIPs?
Come here... I got a secret for you pssst come âere
waiting in deep suspense
Psst you ready here comes the secret
Here it comes
I am also very curious about this secret
Your time spent enjoying the creative process is infinitely more valuable that any final project you create. So stop putting yourself down for never finishing or posting those WIPs because every moment you spent creating something you loved is a moment not wasted. Your progress and talent is measured by your passion not your number of posts.
i hope black nonbinary ppl have a good day
i hope black nonbinary ppl kno we are worthy of care and gentleness and respect
Itâs possible to be critical of Biden and Harris while ALSO emphasizing that YOU NEED TO VOTE FOR THEM. Most people I see complaining either explicitly say they wonât vote or donât offer any support. THIS IS BAD. This is what gets passive voters to see all the critiques and think that theyâll be just as bad as the current Republican administration. THIS IS NOT TRUE!
Yes, Biden and Harris are very flawed. Theyâve both done a lot of bad in their history. No, theyâre not the candidates any of us were hoping for. But they arenât literal fascists who are actively trying to kill everyone but the 1% and they will likely actually work to get covid under control in the US when the virus is still raging. I know we were hoping for more progressive candidates but this is what weâve got.
If you want to push the Democratic Party to be more progressive, find your local candidates to get excited about and VOTE THEM IN! There are so many people running for Congress and Senate that can do some actual good in the world if we get them elected. They can draft legislature that can actually get approved if we have a Democratic president and majority in both the House & Senate. Most importantly, they can work to keep Biden and Harris in check. Thatâs the point of the three branches: checks and balances. So find a local candidate to get excited about, donate to their campaign, tell people about them, and vote for them!
Be critical of the President and VP candidates, yes, but for the love of god do not discourage people from voting. I remember sobbing election night 2016 because I was terrified of a Trump presidency and weâve seen the outcome of that. People have literally died because of it. A lot of us will not survive another four years of this so PLEASE VOTE BLUE. ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO VOTE BLUE. DONâT BE A DICK.

i had a very illuminating conversation with a guy about 10 years younger than me that really put this change into perspective, which is this:
i have a very distinct memory, in my childhood, of the moment of my disillusionment. i believed that grown-ups knew what they were doing, and that the things that seemed so obvious to me had to be obvious to them, too (things like DONâT GO TO WAR IN IRAQ, for example). i believed that, and had that belief pulled out from under me, so my disillusionment comes with a sense of betrayal.
a mere 10 years younger than me, this guy has no such moment or memory. he never believed grown-ups were fundamentally competent, or good, or reasonable. he never lived in a world where things didnât feel constantly careening wildly out of control. thereâs no betrayal in his sense that the government has failed him - of course it has, it was always going to. he doesnât remember a time pre-bush, or pre-9/11, or pre-iraq war. this is just what the world has always looked like for him. so itâs not really a sense of âdisillusionment,â actually - his generation never had any illusions to lose. theyâve just been in this world so long itâs all theyâve ever known.
