First of all: I'm in love with your art style! The details, the expressions, the colors... I can't get enough of it! When I discovered your blog today, I got really curious about the assorti fandom (because you draw the characters so well) and was wondering if there were certain rules? Like for example does anybody own the way the characters are drawn? It's just that I don't want to cause any trouble for anyone when I draw some fan art, that would make me feel terrible. Thank you for your time!
Thank you very much! (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄) ❤Actually, there are no strict rules — nearly all characters are the product of collective work; there’s no one and only person, who owns them. Some of them were drawn by me for the first time, so it was me who designed their appearence, some — by other fellow artists (for example, it was @opossum-art who originally drew Picnic as a blond hottie with a baseball bat). But, of course, these appearences and characters exist for some time already, and people in the fandom got used to it. So, technically, nobody can forbid you, for example, from drawing Raffaello as a black-haired girl, but most likely everybody in the fandom will be confused since they’re used to (and like) the white-haired boy. Such drastic changes, especially in “main” characters, are usually not appreciated in the fandom, to be completely honest.
Anyway, you can draw whatever you want! There are, after all, several characters, whose appearence and personality change depending on the artist. / I hope I didn’t word this post too poorly ; w ; /
