I am genuinely shocked at the number of car crashes that render the heroine an orphan and as a result are brought up by their granny/ grandpa or living with elder sister and kids. I am also concerned at the number of corporations moving into small towns and shutting down businesses ie Cupcake cafes, hot chocolate outlets and quaint antique shops. What is happening to small town America? ! Thankfully though it always snows.
Things I don’t understand about Hallmark movies (Don’t take this too seriously)
1. Given the amount of sugar cookies they eat how come no one has Type Two Diabetes?
2. The death rate amongst the heroines/heroes parents is appalling- shouldn’t there be a national enquiry.
3. Christmas presents- since when has anybody received a tree bauble as a present? What sort of cheapskate gift is that?
4. People who work in tea shops rarely live in such fabulous apartments..and why is there never any customers?
5. How is it possible to consume that much cocoa?
Hallmark..just love those movies! Keep them coming!

Absolutely nothing to back this up, but this is the sort of speech I made when I left work. Feeling slightly twitchy now..
It is interesting that Helen’s memories are not what they seem. She suffers from the British disease..nostalgia. What we think has happened in the past is not what it seems, or only tells one side of the story. Our whole history is based on this!
Ship shape and Bristol fashion means everything is ticketyboo..hope that has cleared things up.

I appreciate that everyone is in a trailer frenzy at the moment, wanting snippets of Sharpwin action. I am more concerned about the fate of little Luna. Helen arrives home unexpectedly so Max has no time to put a temporary babysitter in place between suggesting the walk home and changing his mind and running back to Helen’s. Had he relented and let her stay with the grandparents? It bothers me greatly which considering this is a TV programme is a little pathetic.
I may be completely wrong about this but in Tyler Labine’s live IG he implied a little bit of Sharpwin resentment. (Think how the rest of One Direction must have felt about Harry Styles). I think he may not have realised that many of us are just long term fans of the actors and who have followed them throughout the various vehicles in which they display their art. There are hundreds of thousands of people out there who don’t have those connections or don’t use social media and love NA for itself. He shouldn’t resent Sharpwin, but embrace the fact that these actors have loyal followers on many platforms and the media pick up on it. Yours long time Dr Who fan. Anything David Tennant does is fine by me too.) btw I love Dr Frome.
I have been struck by the similarity of character between Max and Helen (New Amsterdam) and Jon and Sarah (John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale in the film Serendipity) . Energetic driven male lead and quirky British female both drawn together by a serendipitous connection. Both in New York settings with a clever scripts .
I am not suggesting this for one moment, but I can’t unthink it…Jodie Whittaker is leaving Dr Who…what if the Doctor regenerated as a doppleganger of Martha Jones? How cool would that be! Obviously one wouldn’t be suggesting that Freema leaves NA. Heaven forfend! But with clever filming schedules and sympathetic flight times and total sacrifice of her personal life..well surely it is doable? Just popping on to the British Airways website…

Because, honestly, I have nothing better to think about until the football on Saturday….will Max and Helen keep their relationship under wraps or declare themselves a couple to their work colleagues and Georgia’s parents? I am running a straw poll here. I think they will keep it quiet but Ryan Eggold said in one of the interviews that I have watched incessantly that Shin would reappear ….so perhaps it will all kick off when Cassian realises Mina is abroad and he believes Helen is once again available only to discover otherwise…. I really need to get a life.
Which character from New Amsterdam would suffer from an apocalyptic dose of hay fever? I don’t care that much, I just want someone to share my grief and misery with albeit in a non virtual way. I suggest Sandra Fall from Billing ..she seems the type.
Max and Helen reach her door and she grabs her keys, unlocks the door and enters. Max lingers on the doorstep waiting for the next step.
Now if it had been me, I would have reached the door, fumbled in the bags for my keys and after ten minutes having not found them because for some inane reason linings of bags are always black so they are invisible…I would then have proceeded to empty the entire contents of said bag onto the pavement. Lipstick, wallet, phone, sonic screwdriver, passport (EU red cover) and assorted sweet wrappers, pound coins etc…Meanwhile Max would slowly be backing away thinking what a lucky escape he was having.
