“That’s too bad then, I’ve never really been the nice type, eh?” Holden questioned, raising a brow at the man. He could have sighed. He had been doing so well at not getting into fights or picking them. He had been using his power responsibly, and all of that. He supposed all it really took was one straw to break the back.
It was when the shorter man stepped up to him that a smirk came over his face. With the proximity being so close, he could quite easily read the man’s fear. He debated speaking to it, teasing him for it, but instead he just simply got his mirage prepared. “You’re right, it’s not my business. My business is keeping my home protected from lunatics who want to come and flirt with someone who probably doesn’t want him there.” he said, stepping in closer to the man, hoping his height might make him nervous.
As the other continued to talk, quickly getting on Holden’s nerve, he focused more, setting up the scene for the stranger. He didn’t understand much of the context, but he understood more than enough how chilling the fear was. He showed the stranger his father, holding a gun directly to his face, taking a moment he stepped forward again. “Leave.” he said, the image still filling the man’s head.
“I did not come here to flirt with her.” He protested. “I am not so stupid to do that again.” That was the only thing he could think to object to, especially because he did want to flirt with her. He’d only ever fallen in love once, and he’d been stupid to. “I also did not come here to hurt her. Even if I have good reason. I would not announce myself if I was going to hurt her, I would -”
His words were cut off, faced with a gun. The man behind it was so familiar to him, despite it being two years since he saw him last. “Tatko...” He swallowed thickly, frozen in place. His own ridiculous rules prevented him from lashing out like he normally would. “Not possible. You cannot be out.” In answer, his father pushed the gun closer to his head. Viktor already knew how it’d end. With his family, there was only way for it to end. “JUST DO IT!” He shouted the words, anger and fear swirling together.
