The thing that gets overlooked here is look at how Louis reacts.

Imagine how you would feel (or do feel) when a strange man touched you like that.

Then he balls up his fists and spits out ‘thanks mate’ because he has all of this discomfort and he can’t do anything about it. 

Harry has been paying attention to this whole thing, he knows Louis is uneasy  and he pats Louis’ thigh to comfort him.

He’s not just jealous that another man touched his boyfriend, he’s pissed that someone touched his boyfriend in an unprofessional, overly friendly way and made Louis uncomfortable. Harry is letting Louis know he’s aware of how Louis felt about that as well as how Harry felt about it. He’s reassuring Louis and not-so-subtly communicating to the interviewer to back off.  When it comes to their relationship, it speaks volumes that Harry touching Louis there is a comfort,  that the message from both of them is ‘Harry can touch my thigh, you can’t.’

Do you ever think about the fact that Liam Sparkes himself, the tattoo artist who did most of Harry’s and Louis’ tattoos, said that Harry’s butterfly tattoo is inspired by Papillon, a movie about two guys, Henri and Louis, who try to escape from a prison? And that our Louis has the skull and cross bones and the card suits tattoos, two of the three tattoos Henri has on his chest?
