The gt community has some serious problems and i genuinely feel like everyone Is blind in here. Racism and dehumanization is literally so widespread. Everyday i'll read people refer to other PEOPLE with merely different cultural customs as "feral" and "wild". Everyones favorite trope Is the White savior and White mans burden. "Tinies" are talked about as if they are actually animals, they live miserable lives that the "civilized" humans saves them from. If tinies are in trouble, no problem a single human Will come in and save all of them. Pet trope resolution is a human buys a slave and later realizes they are actually a person. Or the slave appeals to their suppressors and "oh actually these tinies aren't so bad" and they're all friends. Or straight up someone being owned as property is actually fine and cute. "Darker themes" in here are literal race play. There's no nuance, no respect no nothing. Dehumanization is a fun little trope. All of these things are said and thought in absolutely honesty by users here. Boundaries are an absolutely alien concept in here. I'm into size difference but never referred myself as part of the gt group, however i had my characters added to a gt tournament without my permission. Absolutely uncalled for comments. No my character Is not a tiny. Artists are treated as content farmers. So many times i've seen people beg others to stop sending shit asking them abt requests. There's things that are absolutely not sfw here that get shared as such. There's no Need for there to be a dick and a ball for It to be nsfw, your fic where a tiny guy pisses themself, gets tortured twelve chapters straight or Is treated like a pet Is not sfw of fluff. Get outta here

Okay, so like half of this is legitimate problems with the community. Mostly the latter half regarding SFW vs NSFW stuff and seeing artists as content farms, but...

Rescuing tinies is a 'white savior' troupe? My guy, not every power imbalance is racism. And I've never seen "Feral" or "Savage" used the way you discribe. Sometimes a tiny is just feral! 'Eats raw meat, growls at spiders, gnaws on sticks' feral.

You do understand we're talking about tiny people, right? A concept that does not exist in reality? If I decide to imagine a race of mouse-like people who are objectively less intelligent than humans, does that make me racist? Because I imagined a thing that doesn't exist? Because I dehumanized an imaginary race that is literally not human?

And hey, guess what? Sometimes a setting that is fucked-up and evil is the point! Do you genuinely believe that writing about something is inherent approval of everything it stands for? Are villains and evil not allowed?

We are imagining what would happen if there were massive, objective differences between 'Giants' and 'tinies'. Because we have to imagine a world where two people aren't inherently equals.

In short?

I'm sorry for exploring power imbalance in our trope about a specific type of power imbalance.
