It was all too much to bear.

He experienced a lifetime of disappointment within his first few years on this earth. Anyone he loved betrayed him, either by a lack of effort or understanding. Even that would have been forgivable, had they stayed. For him, relying on and trusting in people became nearly impossible. It overpowered his burning desire for companionship. He became void of affect; rarely feeling emotions other than rage and sadness. People became ugly monsters that only brought pain and regret. The only beauty he saw was in the books he read and movies he watched. He knew two things, none of it was real and he would never experience anything like it. It was all too much to bear.

Fuck. This is the realest shit I’ve read today. Like it’s ok to feel special to be treated nice but you have to remember that you deserve that. You SHOULD be treated well. Don’t latch onto someone just because they’re doing what should be required. Acknowledge it and keep it flowing
