Forbidden Love - Kaga x Aira
Aira stepped out into the alleyway. Taking a deep breath as the crispy air of the night hit her warm cheeks.
“Persistent s.o.b.” She mumbled, fixing her kimono. It wasn’t the first time a client had been forceful towards her, but she still didn’t know how to act. After all she had an image to preserve.
Aira was a waitress at a small Japanese restaurant, which was actually a front for the Yakuza. The leader of this particular group, happened to be her father. Being an image to her father’s group, Aira job was somewhat of a gate keeper, she knew who was a friend and who wasn’t. She belonged to the Yakuza, and was this group’s Princess.
Aira became aware she wasn’t alone in the alleyway, she turned to head back inside but not before she caught a glimpse of two men. One of the men clearly had the upper hand as he welded a knife. The other certainly looked like he had better days.
The best thing for her to do was not to interfere, but the man, who was now using the wall as his support looked vaguely familiar.
“Hey!” She found herself yelling.
“Go inside, this is not your fight.” The helpless man did his best to support himself on his feet.
“You’re trespassing on private property, if you know what is good for you, you’ll get out of here before you both can’t walk anymore!” Aira pretended to reach inside her kimono, as if to pull out a gun.
It was enough of a distraction for the helpless guy to knock the knife out of his opponent’s hand. He kicked it away and it spun towards Aira. The other guy read the situation, running off and leaving Aira alone with the helpless guy.
The guy’s strength seemed to leave him entirely and his body collapsed.
For some reason Aira felt the need to go to this man’s aid. With his help she was able to pull him to his feet and at least hide him in the shadows of the alleyway.
Kneeling on the ground she rested his head in her lap and tended to his wounds.
“You are very lucky he didn’t hit any organs.” She brushed the now sleeping man’s hair off his face as she applied pressure to his bleeding side.
Up close his face was more familiar, in fact it became one she could never forget. One day he showed up, ordered sweet rice cakes to go. After that he became a regular, coming in every other day, ordering the same thing.
Aira had no idea how much time had passed, her ankles hurt from the rough ground and her feet were asleep. The man finally opened his eyes. He gazed up at her. At that moment he didn’t feel like a complete stranger to her. If she could, she wanted nothing more but to stay that way.
“Forget what you saw.” He spoke, giving a slight bow he walked off, disappearing into the night.
Sitting there stunned, moving to stand up she became aware of the pain in her legs.
“Ah my feet are asleep now.” She groaned, clutching her ankles as the tingling pain ran through her legs and feet.
Finally she was able to get up, returning to work with that man lingering on her mind.
