Whenever I read about the story of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (RA), I always get this catch in my throat like I'm gonna tear up. If you guys read about his story, you can relate to what this life we have, those people who do what they do, you would think twice of judging others or condemning others whom you may think are less of a Muslim. Everytime, I find myself reading on Islam, in my effort to be better equipped with Islamic knowledge for the betterment of myself and for future generations to come, insya'allah❤️, I tell myself, what I learned, first and foremost, is for myself. I think this is also the quality and attitude of my mom, who always says, "If you want to learn something, you empty your mind of anything u learned before so you will be able to absorb what you are learning now" I believe that also makes us stay grounded. We are never better than anyone else, if in the eyes of Allah, we are still small.
