Robby microaggression out the gate was such an interesting choice and I think it's a really good one, especially in conjunction with Shen's instant catch and dismissal of it.

I really like that they're sticking with Robby being biased, prejudiced. This doesn't make him some horrifically shitty person, but like, he's turned his star pupil focus on Whitaker, the brand new R1, instead of Mohan or Santos or Mel who all have more experience and have been physically here longer.

We know that Robby does have the ability to catch himself accidentally making inappropriate comments (see the trailer with the "I did not mean for that to be sexual" walkback), but he doesn't always.

McKay calls his ass on it in season one, and we do see Robby own up to it but only after the situation has been handled and calmed down. I'm interested to see if this will continue, if there'll be more comments or off-handed remarks, if the people around him will see that and correct him on it, if he'll grow and change.

Watching Wednesday season 2 reactions and a hot take just hit me

Some shows go out of their way to make black women look undesirable I think and I'm not saying this in the divestor/only conventionally attractive black women should be cast sort of way but in a why don't these shows make stylistic choices that do black women favors sort of way bc I thought Bianca's mom looked a hot mess in season 1 with the hair and she looks even worse in season 2 and I'm thinking to myself surely a more natural style that better matches her texture would've been a more suitable choice no?
