Uh, Hi there. My name is Kylie, at least I think it is. I can't really remember my past all that well, but that's the name my Bracelet says. ((Kylie is a Revenant, a specific type of ghost. She does not remember her past, and she does not know she is a ghost. There will be times when she is invisible. Some of the plot elements on this blog are potentially triggering, especially concerning Kylie's past. You have been warned.))

  "Oh, I know." He agreed with a nod, "Sometimes I get real bad. But, it’s only rarely, which I guess is good."

"That is good. It’s hard to be good, so even being good for just a short time is something to be happy about. And if you are rarely bad then that is good." The girl rambled on for a while before catching herself and laughing sheepishly. "Sorry."

"No, no." He shook his head with a smile, "No need to apologize. I love when people ramble; it’s interesting."

"Well hey then you and I should get along famously. I'm always losing myself in some god awful train wreck of a thought that leaves me talking and talking, sometimes for hours on end!"

"What’s awaiting me? Do you know?" she says, a thoughtful look crossing her face.

"For some reason I figured you'd say something like that." shem mumbles with a sigh.

"That’s a great idea." she smiled widely, nodding.

"I haven’t had anything today. Do you know a good place around?"

"I’m not from the area, but a lot of the locals rave about this one little diner. Wanna go say what all the fuss is about?" she says with a shrug.

"Great. Can you get up safely?" she asked while looking at her, smiling.

"Yeah. I think so. I feel much better." she says lifting herself onto her feet.

"Ah, I would tell you if I could, but I don’t know myself." she says with a sheepish laugh. "I have a condition, where I get bad headaches and black out and when I wake it’s a few days later and I’m in a different state. It’s odd really." the ghost says.

"Oh, gosh! Really?" Else bit her lip, eyes wide with genuine concern. "Well, are you feeling alright? Do you need me to call someone for you?"

"No, No. I'm quite alright. They've been slowing down recently. I feel just fine at the moment."

  "That’s a good rule to live by." Victor smiled, "It’s best not to be a hypocrite."

"I try not to be one, most people don’t appreciate Hippocrates." she says with a laugh. "though I have to admit I have my moments where I’ll slip out."

"Oh, I know." He agreed with a nod, "Sometimes I get real bad. But, it’s only rarely, which I guess is good."

"Ah, well, I understand." she says with a smile. "I have a few secrets of my own, so I can’t begrudge others theirs."

"That’s a good rule to live by." Victor smiled, "It’s best not to be a hypocrite."

Freya shook her head slightly, smiling at her.

"I will do what I can to make you feel better and if it’s just getting you something to drink. So, what can I help you with?"

"Well, If you insist, how bout we go to lunch together?"

"That’s a great idea." she smiled widely, nodding.

"I haven’t had anything today. Do you know a good place around?"

"Kylie Summers, Miss." She says with a slight smile and a nod of her head.

"Oh! No need for the ‘miss’ thing, trust me." Else waved Kylie off. “Just call me Else. It’s nice to meet you, Kylie.” She gave the girl a kind smile. "Mind if I ask why you’re milling around in the back alleys of New York?"

She makes a face, realizing how silly she must of sounded. “Oh, you’re right. So I’m really dead then huh?”

"Yes, you are, dear."

"Well, if I’m dead, then what now? What do I do?"

"Make a choice I suppose. Keep being a ghost, and enjoy the world in this form, or move on to whatever awaits you."

Something was not alright with this woman, but she just couldn’t put her finger on it.

Freya frowned. “Shall I take you to a doctor or do you want to wait some more?”

The revenant smiled at the kind woman shaking her head a bit. “There’s no need for you to take me to a doctor, I’ve already eaten up so much of your time. It wasn’t even a bad episode. I’ll be just fine.”

"You’re not eating up my time. I’m glad if I can help anyone." To atone for the sins of the past, maybe?

Freya shook her head slightly, smiling at her.

"I will do what I can to make you feel better and if it’s just getting you something to drink. So, what can I help you with?"

"Ah, that’s very kind of you. To go out of your way to talk to strangers. I’m sure many appreciate it, I know I do." The ghost smiles at him gently. "You’re an interesting fellow, you know that?"

"Hm? Well, it’s interesting to talk to new people, as well, so I benefit from it, as well." Chuckling softly, he canted his head slightly to one side, almost surprised at the compliment. "Hm? Well, thank you. You’re quite interesting, yourself."

"Everyone is interesting if you care enough to find out why." She says with a light laugh. "That's a lesson I've come to know recently. People come and go, but if you find one thing to remember a name for, could life really be that terrible? " A wistful smile comes over her face, and she seems to forget herself for a moment.

  "No worries." He shook his head, "Yeah, we were almost inseperable when we were kids… Now, she’s a bit more rebellious."

"Well, that does tend to happen as people mature. It happened to me at least. I’m sure it’s just a phase though."

"Much." She says with a smile. "These things tend to pass quickly for the most part. It’s rare that they last longer than at most ten minutes." She neglected to add that if they did last longer she usually lost days or even weeks of time before coming to her senses, but oh well.

"Is that so?" Canting his head slightly to one side, the proctor took in that bitter intonation in the woman’s voice with a thoughtful hum. Some personal issue with not being noticed, maybe? I suppose that must be it… He wasn’t going to pry. “Hm? Ah, well, well… I notice every new face, see. It’s a nice break in the monotony, even if they’re just lost, you know?”

"I keep meaning to, but I just never seem to get around to it." The ghost girl says with a laugh. "I’m just super forgetful these days."
