I was in Berlin last weekend and finally managed to try out Berghain, which was of course everything I dreamed it would be - two massive sound systems, arse-less chaps galore but most importantly a next to nothing crowd of people who all shared a love for the music. My boyfriend and I stuck to the Panorama Bar mostly as it was a bit more of a fun and carefree environment as opposed to the little more serious atmosphere in the main room and yes, we danced, a lot. Props to Function who seemed to be on for the whole 9 hours we were there, he played the best music i’ve heard for a while and most importantly for me tracks you can actually dance to, this cheesy little number being one of them. It’s great how tracks so old can bring such vitality to sets in 2015. I am definitely bored of the ‘serious DJ’.
