Franco Saudelli and Giovanna Casotto the 90s erotic art power couple. The two would meet at a comics exhibition in Rome in 1994 and would become collaborators and soon lovers. The couple would use photographs of each other for references in each other’s art work.
Their collaborations together were published consistently in erotic magazines Selen and Blue in the 90s.
Franco’s themes mostly consisted of Bondage while Giovanna was inspired by 1950s pin up art. Franco began his career in art in the 70s and began making erotic short stories in the 80s for magazines Comic Art, Glamour and Diva.
Giovanna studied history at the university of Milan but dropped out, she would later attended the International School of Comics of Padua. Starting her comics career in the early 90s she was one of the few women working in erotic comics.
A collection of Giovanna’s work would get published in the US by Eros Comix an Erotic comix publisher in 1994, The series "Bitch in Heat" starred herself in erotic short stories using her own photos for refrence giving the scenes a realistic touch.
