EXO reacting to their s/o cooking dinner for the first time and burning it
He would love that you wanted to cook
But he would be extremely stressed out by the burnt food, insisting that you do it again
He also insists that he helps, so that you don’t make the same mistake and can have a learning experience
“I love you and I’m grateful but.. We should really redo this.. Better.”
When he smells something burning, he would become extremely worried
When he finds out it was dinner, he’ll laugh hard for a minute
Then he’ll thank you and eat it anyway, no matter how bad it tastes
“Baby, what is- Oh god! You burned the meal?! Hahahahahaha!!!”
He would be grateful that you tried, but there’s no way he’s eating that
He’d butter you up for a minute before breaking it to you that he couldn’t do it and wanted to order delivery
He would feel bad, but he knows his stomach won’t handle that
“You’re so cute, babe.. So cute.. So precious.. And uh... Let’s order in, okay?”
He would have a meltdown on the inside, worrying about the pans and the burn spot on the ceiling
On the outside, he would smile and comfort you saying that it’s okay and everyone burns the food every now and then
He would eat it and lie, saying that it really wasn’t that bad
“See? It’s still pretty good given the circumstances.”
He would pretend he didn’t even notice
He would grin and bare it all, the smell and the taste
He would even go so far as to getting seconds unless you stop him and tell him you know he’s faking
“Wow! This is so.. Good..! Yeah!”
He would immediately tease you, calling you cute for being unable to cook
He would also tease you for wanting to cook for him in the first place
But he would still try to eat it, though after the first bite he’s spit it out and request you go out to eat
“Aw, so cute~ You can’t even cook a simple meal, ah! Cute!!~~”
He would reassure you that it’s okay and you can always try again next time
He would also refuse to eat it, saying that he would prefer his first meal made by you to be good and memorable
Then he would cook something for the two of you instead
“I’m sorry but I really don’t want this to be the first meal I eat that you’ve made.. It would be sad for me..”
He would also pretend like he didn’t notice the smell
He’s eat the whole thing, repeating to you that it’s not that bad every time you say it is
But he would keep adding odds and ins to try and save the taste.. It doesn’t work, of course, but he tries
“It’s really not that bad, I promise!”
He would not eat it, and he wouldn’t lie to you either
He would try to find the kindest way to tell you that it’s burnt
When he realizes that you know it is, he would apologize and say that he wasn’t willing to eat it
“You.. Do know.. It’s burnt.. Don’t you?”
He would tell you right off the bat that it is infact burnt
Then he would proceed to show you how to make it without burning it
But he would do it in a very playful and cuddly way, letting you stand in front of him while he cooks
“This is pretty burnt.. Here, let me show you how it’s really made.”
He would be another who pretends he didn’t notice at first
He’d choke on the first bite,e but somehow manage to get a good few bites in before he puts it down
He’d then laugh awkwardly and apologize a million times for being unable to finish it
“I’m so sorry, it’s just.. It’s.. Well.. It’s burnt..”
He would laugh the second he smells it
He’d find his way to the doorway and watch you burn the food, smirking and laughing
When you’re done he’s throw it out and tell you he’ll bee cooking from now on, but he’s obviously teasing
“Yeah, how about I do the meals from here on out, okay?”
