duh ofc i have to have at least one pet in every reality!! (especially cats). if you know me you know im a cat girl at heart, which explains the ratio of cats and dogs here… but i thought i should introduce all my pets across my most memorable drs! i also feel like i haven’t posted in quite some time so hopefully this extra long moodboard monday post makes up for it!! keep reading to meet my babies :)
first up is misty the border collie from my small town dr! she’s technically my grandparents dog but i’m either over at their house or i bring misty with me that she has slowly become mine. she’s a rescue and they found her when she was about seven months old so she’s been here a while! i love her so much she’s such a little ball of energy like me and my friends love playing with her and like bringing her to the beach and stuff. also she’s so freaking cute when we’re like hanging at the fire at night and she’s sitting there resting her head in someone’s lap :,) the cutest puppy ever
next is appa from my influencer dr! he’s a white bengal which i’m obsessed with cause just look at him he’s so cute!!! im also obsessed with his name like it comes from appa from atla and i feel like it just fits him so well not only because of the looks but the personality too. he had to much sass and personality for such a little cat. ive had appa since he was a very small kitten because one of my friends in new york had a cat that had given birth and i begged my parents for so long to let me get him. best decision ever!! he would also be mad if i didnt mention his siblings from this dr (red and blue) who are hamzahs cats because the three of them together are always causing trouble and getting into things.
then is snap from my new and improved stranger things dr. i found snap in the woods near the cabin and i had to beg my dad to let me keep her (he was not having it at first). i feel like it’s a canon event for dads to be so against getting a pet at first and then ending up eventually loving them so much because that’s exactly what happened with snap and my dad. now it’s not uncommon to find my dad asleep on the couch and snap sleeping right next to him, purring. i love how independent snap is because i leave my window open and she comes and goes as she pleases but she always comes back cause she’s my little girl!
next is monkey from my 2nd singer dr. monkey is the cutest little tortie ever like he’s cute adorable!!! much like all my other cats across many realities, i found monkey thanks to the cat distribution system! he was a stray kitten i found when i had went back to cali to visit my family and i knew i had to take him back to new york with me. he’s my babi
next up is lady the dalmation from my tennis player dr!!! lady is such a freaking icon like she’s always in my paparazzi pictures and we look so good together. i did rescue her from a shelter when she was puppy as well! she’s literally like the smartest dog ever she is so well behaved and i love her sm!
last but not least is chica and snoopy from my 1st singer dr!!!! ofc me and joe have two cats bc it’s so us vibes!!! i actually rescued snoopy before i met joe when he was still a kitten so he’s been with me for soo long like that’s my baby boyyy! then a little while after we moved into together we found chica in the alleyway by our apartment so obviously we had to take her in. snoopy is definitely more chill and calm vibes while chica is more excited and playful. anyways they are our actual children like we would do anything for them!!!!!!
i miss my husband steve so can i request him with the prompt; “are you sure this is a good idea?” 😉
omg yess emi!! you know i will never pass up on a steve fic!! also this is semi-inspired by dirty dancing because i just love that film so much
a rampage of white-foamed water crashes and swirls down the rocks of the river just up ahead in the small clearing in the forest. hawkins never has much to do in the summer, so you and your boyfriend always find something unusual yet memorable to keep yourselves occupied.
"come on, we're almost there," you urge eagerly as steve trails behind you, your hand in his the only thing keeping him from tripping on the stones and tree roots beneath his feet.
"jeez, babe," steve stops right at the river's edge and catches his breath, wiping sweat from his forehead and running his hand through his hair in that way only steve does. "you're trying to kill me out here."
you roll your eyes playfully, taking steve's hands in both of yours and leaning up tall on your tiptoes to place a lone kiss to his cheek. a smile appears promptly on his lips, and he leans down to kiss yours chastely.
your eyes flutter open and with a soft gaze, you let go of steve's hands and carefully pad over to the log above the river, supported only by the ground on either end.
steve steps forward slowly, his protective instincts kicking in. "whatcha doin', sweetheart?" he asks with a nervous lilt to his tone. it makes you giggle.
you motion your head towards yourself. "come here," you insist, stepping out closer to the middle of the log, the river's waves flowing beneath you.
steve's brows furrow. "babe, that looks dangerous," he counters. his feet near the edge of the log, prepared to catch you if you stumble.
"oh, come on, debby downer!" you press, reaching your hands out for him to take. "it's fun."
with one long sigh, because steve can never say no to you, he takes your hands in his and steps slowly with one foot onto the log. his steps are measured, careful as to not put too much weight next to you and cause the wood to snap.
"are you sure this is a good idea?" steve continues to ask, as if you saying that it is would make him less worried. your eyes beam up at him in between steps, and once you reach the middle of the log, your feet stop.
"it's a great idea," you reply, lifting your interlaced hands and twirling slowly in place—a signal to dance.
steve's palms find your waist, holding you steady. a small chuckle breaks through his lips. "you're something else, y'know that?" he teases, but sways with you so gently it almost isn't a movement at all.
you hum. "yeah, but you love it," you banter, your hands finding his broad shoulders.
steve leans down to place a kiss on your hairline. "yeah. i do."

(📺) ‧ ₊ ˚ . ⋆ 'sweetest girl in town gone crazy'—the biggest headline of the local paper in belmont, massachusetts circa 1962. ann sedford was never the innocent preacher's daughter all the schoolgirls and mothers thought her up to be—quite the opposite, actually. the truth is, she'd always been a bit.. well, mad, as they called it. but she wasn't a little girl anymore. she didn't have to contain it.
at around one in the morning on a modest spring night in april, ann slipped out her creaky, wooden-framed window in her baby pink nightgown & dashed across the lawn, down the street, through the town, bare feet collecting dirt & blonde hair catching the wind but she felt free. eventually, the police rounded her up & her unforgiving mother & father sent her off to claymoore psychiatric hospital following previous disconcerting events, but nothing could break her spirit. ann was almost always a wild, beaming ray of sunshine, no matter what weather surrounded her.
as a matter of fact, it seemed that ann thrived in her new home more than the dollhouse she used to be enclosed in. unlike the other new admissions, she settled in comfortably almost immediately among the thin, pale, bruised-up & battered teenage girls. two years passed and, even if she had been getting any "better", as the nurses said, she wasn't sure if she'd really want to leave, especially not after she'd met her closest friends.
all the girls unexplainably became attracted to ann—it was as if she had some sort of magnetism to her, like a porch light to a moth. she has a way of comforting & bringing light to the ward. ann was able to crack nervous little susanna kaysen's shell & daisy randone allows ann to sleep in her room. no one is ever allowed into daisy's room.
janet webber enjoys laughing at the game shows in the television room with ann, & polly clark dances with her to her multitudinous collection of vinyl records she stores under her pink-quilted bed. the nurses are almost always fond of her presence, but the therapists are a different story.
but most of all, lisa rowe—that raging ball of static electricity & jokes that cut deeper than a kitchen knife—had finally found her person. eight years of patients coming & leaving, escaping & being caught, fighting, taunting, breaking rules, but it all narrowed down to ann & her flashy-white smile & tobacco & vanilla-scented giggles that, for some odd reason, make lisa's heart beat hard against her ribcage & her cheeks heat up.
a sacred thing, it is. no one at the ward really knows the entire truth behind lisa & ann's closed shared bedroom door. sure, there's been a few comments out in public & sightings of ann waltzing around in another one of lisa's soft, fleece-lined long sleeves that she adores so much.. but even if there's been signs of a liaison, neither girls have openly claimed the other as theirs—at least, not with words.
nonetheless, it's common knowledge in the girls' wing at claymoore that ann & lisa are off limits. & in the future—god knows if that'll even come—all they know is they'll have each other. & for now, at least, they have their friends, thursday night trips down into the tunnels to go bowling, lisa's pink, strawberry-scented nail polish, & a dream of leaving massachusetts for florida.

genuinely one of my favorite drs ever!!! this is me living on a hawaiian island with my besties and family having an endless summer. i’m also a surfer girl in this dr which is 100% vibes. if you know me you know i adore best friends to lovers trope so ofc my island boy crush is the boy next door that i’ve known since i was little and ofc his name is mac! i spend my days in this dr crushing around in my grandpas old yellow jeep, drinking coconut water, and spending hours on the beach and in the water before heading back home to eat a meal with all of my closest people!
