A Dress and a Posepack

This is a joint TSM conversion project with @itsyuiri . The wide sleeves of this dress are really beautiful, but unfortunately we weren’t able to make them behave properly with ingame animations. So it’s more a photoshoot sort of outfit.

With this dress being so unusual, it also needed special poses. In order to make the sleeves ‘fall’ properly, the poses are rotated in the elbows, which is normally something I try to avoid. I included the blender project of pose 1, with the dress already imported, which you can use as a base if you want to make your own poses for a story.

Categorized for female, everyday, formal and outerwear, not valid for random, pregnancy enabled. Like most TSM conversions, it has feet attached and should be worn without shoes.

If you’ve ever used the Sims 4 Tray Importer, you’re going to love this tool for The Sims 3!

It was created to make life easier for players who use custom content (CC) and want to keep everything organized or to share fully CC-included Sims in a quick and practical way!

(The first version was ready in October ffrom last year and I'm publishing it now lol)

🎮 What does this tool do?

✔ Automatically copies all .package custom content used by a Sim, Household or Lot into a specific folder.

✔ Includes an option to compress the folder for easier sharing or storage.

✔ Works with both individual Sims and full Households (or Lots).

✔ Can also help you identify which .package files you no longer want in your game.

🌟Features:

✔ It copies the folder structure from your Mods folder, including only the necessary files, keeping the CCs organized.

✔ Compatible with three languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish. (If your system language is not one of these, the tool will default to English.)

P.s.: If you’d like your language included, just send me all the tool’s text already translated, and I’ll add it.

⚠ Important – Please read before using!

🔹 Windows only, sorry. :(

🔹 You must use only .package files when creating your Sim or building your Lot.

🔹 You must convert the .sims3pack content exported from the game to .package format before scanning the custom content it uses.

🔹 If your converted .sims3pack files were separated into multiple packages, you need to merge those packages again to make it easier for the tool to correctly find and gather all custom content (or you select one by one to verify).

🔹 Right now, I'm also working on adding support for reading Sims3Pack files directly, which should make the process even easier in the future.

This ensures the tool can properly detect every file being used.

I cleaned out my CC folder a few months ago and this tool was so helpful in making sure I didn’t delete cc from sims and lots I wanted to keep.

Hi guys! I made a post on Reddit comparing some of the most popular lighting mods for The Sims 3, and I thought I’d share it here on Tumblr for my first post.

I mainly did this for myself to see how each mod affects the Sims and the environment.

It’s not 100% accurate, since the position of your Sims can have a big effect on the lighting and many of these mods have unique colours/weather transitions over the course of each day.

All of my testing was done during Summer! Unfortunately, I was only able to add the EA lighting into my second comparison, which was strictly on Sims only.

I created some mods using this program and they were all recognized by the game. You now have a machine for creating incredible mods for The Sims 3. I truly hope you create amazing mods. With this program, what was difficult becomes a little, or rather, five times easier. It will generate the complete mod project for you to put in your S3PE. It's practical and easy; you'll never again need to program to create new interactions within your game.

[Dead Site Repository] - Looking for archives!

Hey everyone!

A semi-promotional post, on a feature not many knows about, but meant to be really useful—the Dead Site Repository!

💀What is the Dead Site Repository?

A simpler way to give old content a second chance at life!

Whether the original website is gone, the download links are broken, or the creator has retired and having many broken items, this is a place where those lost treasures can finally rest in peace—or be rediscovered. 😉

Why Simblr.cc's Repository?

I designed this with easier navigation in mind. While we’re all undoubtedly grateful for resources like SFS archives or Archive.org for preserving content, it can sometimes be a challenge to figure out what those items originally looked like.

And let’s not forget how tricky it can be to contribute your own content, especially if you happen to have that missing piece of a set!

One of the features I’m most proud of is that it’s fully collaborative! Meaning that you can add Files and Images to a site yourself too, even if someone else already made said collection.

Now with that out of the way...

🆘Help wanted!

Particularly, TS1, TS2, TS3, TS4, and TSM.

Whether it be sharing the page with other simmers, or your own contribution, any help will do! The mission of course being: Getting as many dead sites a "Rest in peace" they deserve, while also *technically* reviving them again.😉

📓What to do:

Creating a "Dead Site" Repository:

(If the site isn't in the 'dead sites' list yet) - Let me know via commenting on this post, or on the simblr discord the SITE NAME and, if possible, the URL. Optional, but If the site had a banner, or you made one for it, feel free to share that too!

Start a Collection. ... or update an existing collection! 😉

Each repository/dead site can have multiple games! However, make sure to tick the correct game when making a collection...

A Collection is sort of like a "set" or the "folder" of that content. Make sure of the following: If it's a Set, you use the set's name. If it is one item, you can title it that one content (i.e 'Ophelia hair'). If there's too much content to make a collection for, feel free to use “categories” instead. For example, if you have a bunch of hairs, just call them “Hairs” (EXAMPLE REPOSITORY).

However, please do at least attempt to sort them if possible! This will make it easier for people updating that collection! In the end, it's a community effort. 😉

🔍What sites are we looking for:

Sites in this case is a really broad term! But when I say 'Sites' I mean mostly:

Tumblr blogs

Blogspots/Blogs

Livejournals/dreamwidth/etc.

Original websites (Creator's original website)

Forum posts where the post/download is now missing.

...and when in doubt, feel free to ask!

There are a few criteria for the site to be considered 'dead'. I've already briefly mentioned, but for ease will mention here:

Sites of which the site is still online, but the creator is retired and now has broken CC links.

Sites that are no longer online/can't be reached (make sure this has been the case for a minimum of 1-3 months!)

Download/Blog Posts that have been deleted off of a person's blog. (Think: Someone retired as a CC creator and deleted all their CC).

.... And as always, feel free to ask when in doubt!

❓ "I'm a creator who has already archived my old CC on SFS, but I'm still actively creating. Can I upload my older content here too?"

Of course! If you find the layout much more helpful for your old content, you can always use it too! Just make sure to reach out to me (@greenplumbboblover or message this blog) and I will create the repository for you! 😉

❓ "I don’t have the original images for that content/set. Can I take new screenshots in-game and use those instead?"

Yep! In the end, we only want to know what an item looks like, so any visual idea (as long as it's not a Paint drawing lol) will do! Do note though: Images *are* Optional. So you don't have to upload them with it. Sometimes someone might still have them laying around!

❓ "Am I allowed to cross-post from, let's say, TheSimsGraveyard to here?"

Sure! As long as the original place is totally cool with it, I don't see why not. 😉

❓ "Is NSFW stuff allowed?

The Fairy Realm is my take on a builder’s island. You can find 22 empty  lots there. All lots have their address and are already set either as  residential, community or dive spots. One lot is preset as a port. The  world includes most fish, insects, seeds and rocks spawners. Unleash  your creativity on this island full of flowers and sparkly butterflies:)

The Fairy Realm uses custom textures and weather so it is highly recommended  to quit the game, clean all cache files and reload if you want to switch worlds. Weather or  textures may bleed into the next world. It will be ok after saving and  reloading.

Please note that any plant/trees/cloud default replacements will change the look of Fairy Realm.

REQUIREMENTS: All expansion packs, NO stuff packs, NO CC

NEAPOLITAN MASCARA SET

As a thank you for hitting several milestones for NRaas, here's a gift! This set includes three flavours of 'mascara' - makeup eyelashes that overlap defaults, automatically fit all eye shapes, and are controlled by the EA lash slider.

VANILLA MASCARA

As the name suggests, these lashes are identical to the vanilla EA lashes.

Intended to restore EA-style lashes when you have a default lash replacement or lash remover installed.

A variant with bottom lashes is included, shown in the banner above.

CHIC MASCARA

Hand-painted texture with bottom lashes.

Dark brown rather than pure black.

A 'true' mascara, intended to add volume and length when layered on top of defaults.

SUBTLE MASCARA

Identical texture to my Subtle Lashes defaults - which I have included as an optional download.

Comes in three 'swatches' - blonde, brown, and ginger.

These act as recolours for my defaults.

Hand-painted texture for the default eyelashes.

Optional, but the mascaras are on top of these in all the previews.

Unisex, but currently only for teen through to elder.

Not compatible with other eyelash replacers, eyelash removers, or face overlays (this includes DR teeth and sclera).

This is custom content for The Sims 3 only.

MASCARA INFORMATION

Located in the Eyeliner category.

Currently female-only, but will be updated in the future.

All of the files can be installed at the same time.

Compatible with all eyelash defaults, even those that remove the eyelashes entirely.

Mesh is 68 polygons, 128 with bottom lashes added, so they're safe to use on all sims. You can even layer multiple mascaras together.

Lightweight DXT1 textures, all packages less than 1MB large.

No custom sliders are required.

This CC is unrelated to and does not require CASExtensions.

CREDITS AND T.O.U.

Tamo's eyes are technically on the DR texture, but it's not seen in-game.

The mesh with bottom lashes is EA's edited by me. The textures for Chic and Subtle are mine. The rest is EA.

If you want to make your own mascaras, I would recommend cloning Chic as the base - this gets you the mesh with an optimised UV and bottom lashes.

No need to ask for permission, just follow my general T.O.U.

I oficially present to you my two lighting edits! One for CAS, one for game. However, it wouldn't be possible without BoringBones wonderful mods! I just played around with some numbers and importing and exporting few things. My game lighting mod is a mashup of BB's mod and Brntwaffles one. I'm extremly nervous, it's my first time doing and sharing that kind of thing. Shall you find any issues, let me know ASAP! Few notes:

be sure to delete any other cas and game lighting mods

remove any lighting tweaks mods that you may have

put in your Mods folder and preferably don't merge

+ Uranesia Lighting Mod PLUS +

This is essentially the same lighting mod I released some years ago, but I’ve created 11 new versions that feature some cool new additions:

Non-green sunrises: If you thought the original green sunrises were too fantasy looking for your game, now you can get orange/yellowish colors instead.

Two new water colors: a brighter more tropical looking color, and a less intense blue (actually the base game default water color).

Brighter nights: They are still quite dark, but objects and ground textures are easier to see at night in areas without artificial light (in the game it looks a bit better than in the pictures).

The colors of the sky during the day and at sunset are still the same.

This mod alters the colors of the Clear, Partly Cloudy and Overcast weather types. It also includes Gelina’s Lightning Tweaks and custom lighting edits from @potato-ballad-sims​’s Clear & Bright Weather 2.0.

This mod doesn’t include the custom clouds seen in the pictures, you can get them HERE. It is also compatible with my Milky Way Night Sky mod.

MILKY WAY night sky - for TS3 and CAW

Add some magic to your night skies!

This mod replaces the original star field, adding a view of the milky way to the night sky of your game. 

It’s compatible with any lightning mod that doesn’t include a replacement of the star field.

REALISTIC CLOUDS for TS3

I already made some custom clouds a while ago, but I felt like they could be improved. Today I tried it again and since I’m very pleased with the result I’ve decided to share them with you :)

It’s compatible with all lightning mods (as long as they don’t include other custom clouds). Only the Base Game is required.

This is what the EA clouds look like for comparison.

Note: You might need to enable “advanced rendering” if the clouds don’t show up in your game.

Use them any way you want, and feel free to modify them too :) Soon I will probably release some more of Uranesia’s edits, such as the lightning files, recolors and textures.

Apologies for this taking forever and me disappearing off the face of the Earth, sorry if you've tried to DM me w/ issues, etc etc blablabla. I would like to say I'll be more active now but who knows, life is kind of sucky atm

New patches:

Mirror Reflection Settings - Tunes how far away mirror reflections stay visible. Push reflections out further (or rein them in if you've got a wall full of mirrors and want your frames back, mirrors are each their own little camera). Patch idea from Boring Bones

Animation Blend Tuning - Clamps animation blend (transition) durations to a min/max, so transitions that snap can be smoothed out and slow blends can be made snappier. Also includes a forceBlendOut option that lets through blend-out times the engine would otherwise discard. Big thanks to @thepancake1 for the patch!

Split-Level Lighting Fix - Makes lighting not stop at a single level - lot-bound lights now pass the engine's 'world light' filter in outdoor rooms and terrain lightmaps. May cause a bit of light bleed near walls/floors. All credits to Arro-Now!

Brady Bunch BEGONE - The engine fills unlit/dim rooms at night with a fake blue ambient (the "Brady Bunch Blue" apparently). This allows you to change them or to (ideally) zero the values so unlit rooms render without the gross blue glow. Patch idea from Arro ,thanks!

All four are experimental for now, they'll graduate one day...

Updates/Changes:

CPU Thread Optimization - Fixes Alder Lake+ CPU issues correctly now (hopefully).

Lighting Quality - Improved blur math precision to prevent color banding, plus an additional fix for rooms gradually darkening over repeated passes. Blur is now energy-preserving so it stops drifting the average brightness down.

Startup Warning Dialog Fix - New Hide Dialogue setting that prevents the dialog from being created at all, rather than making it visible.
