I might make a giant analysis post that tackles this a little bit later, but people babify Gregor too much, he definitely holds a lot of anger and resentement in his heart. PM has hinted multiple times that Gregor is Bitter and Resentful, he just always defuses situations so we rarely get to see that side of him.
