Devin had had a particularly rough night, and the only place she could think of going, was Gráinne’s. If the other woman couldn’t make her smile, her daughter always managed to do so. Devin happily accepted the hot drink as she got herself comfortable on the couch. “That sounds like the perfect evening right now. Except my taste in movies are incredible. I’m guessing since Erin is asleep.. anything Disney and Pixar are off the table?” She teased with a playful scrunch of her nose.

“So far.. Thirteen Going on Thirty, Monster-In-Law, Letters to Juliette.. or Harriet the Spy.” That movie was always on her option list, and was the best movie in existence, as far as Devin was concerned. “Unless you think you could come up with a superior option?” She challenged, before getting up and pulling out her own pajamas; this time, she came prepared, having not wanted to go home this evening. She changed into a pair of plaid short shorts, a black fitted tank top, and a flannel button up about three sizes too big. “Too presumptuous?” She asked, regarding having come prepared.

“Unless...” Gráinne tilted her head to the side. “Unless it’s beauty and the beast. That film is like my kryptonite. Oh, but the original...obviously.” Other than that she had definitely had enough of animated films, particularly Frozen which Erin seemed to be obsessed with just like every other child out there. “You would need to be a hell of a lot more upset to convince me to watch Harriet The Spy again. That was...an interesting first watch, as an adult.

Thinking for a moment, Grainne eventually said, “Thirteen Going on Thirty it is then. Then if I fall asleep half way through you can put on Harriet The Spy and I’ll never know.” Her mouth widened when Devin pulled out her own pajamas. “Well you may as well leave them here. Along with a toothbrush, some towels, maybe even your whole wardrobe.”

Work had been complete hell. Her employer had gotten pissed off at her because their demon of a child had broken a window this morning. It didn’t matter what Rebecca did, she was always somehow in trouble. Which is exactly how she had ended up at her friend’s place because she knew the other woman would make her feel better. She let out a soft chuckle at the joke. “I’ll have you know that I have amazing taste. Thank you very much.” She said with a shake of her head. “I think you’re the one who needs to re-evaluate your choices in films.” Rebecca added as she let out a soft sigh. “I just need something funny to get my mind off my life.”

Gráinne knew exactly how difficult having a problematic employer was, after having several herself in her younger years. She had never been one to let people treat her badly, so had often quit on the spot. Since then, she’d always vowed never to work for somebody else ever again. “Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, sweetheart,” she joked as she threw some pyjamas at Rebecca that she’d just taken out of the washing machine. “Funny’s good though, funny we can deal with. Would you like a drink? I have...well, pretty much everything.” She’d already headed back into the kitchen to grab herself a glass of red wine. It was her daily habit once Erin was in bed. When she was back, she continued. “So what is it? What’s wrong? Because if you’re still having problems with your employer then you could always just come and work for me.”
