Are you tired of seeing MCYT blogs? Too bad, I'm weak and have succumbed to the whimsy of Hermitcraft/the Life series.

Feel free to call me Carrots! I have no idea how this site works and am just here to unwind and have fun.

I rotate these goofy fellas in my brain more than I really should, so be prepared for my odd headcanons and ideas.

My main fixation is Grian (he's such a peculiar creature), followed by Scar and Mumbo. Though Boatem holds a truly special place in my heart :')

Expect very occasional art and even more occasional writing (found here if you dare)

Is Misguidance Grian going Watcher mode because of the void exposed in the Boatem Hole? He seemed kinda … dissociated or translating Grian impulses through watcher behavior. Did he wander to the Swaggon because Scar felt safe? It would be bad if he wandered to Pearl’s house to early in the reunification process.

A very fun question! In my head, Grian can only hold onto his player form for so long. He's constantly staving off hunger, which he can usually do for quite a while but ultimately, positive emotions only do so much before his Watcher code demands more. He doesn't want to hurt his friends, so I also imagine this is one of the reasons he comes up with the Life series. Enrichment for himself and a chance for the players to let loose a bit (all of which was discussed and agreed upon beforehand).

In Season 8, I believe that's when another rendition of the series was made, so I thought it'd be fun if the events of Misguidance took place before that. Opening up the void in the Boatem Hole was likely a prod at his magic, renewing Grian's hunger faster than he expected. So his facade slips and he seeks Scar not only for safety, but also for a meal.

Ever since Third Life, I imagine Grian's Watcher side grew more possessive of the man. Confused between seeing him as his player (someone safe, meaningful) and a beautiful source of food. Grian hasn't quite clocked onto this himself as his thoughts are fuzzy as a Watcher... creature, and Scar simply disregards any issues. The vex is happy if he thinks he's helping a friend. Though after being ambushed and attacked that morning (because Grian was deliriously trying to feed from his pain and panic), he is admittedly left a little nervous.

Needless to say, once the avian gets a hold of himself, clears things up with Pearl and apologizes to Scar, he calls for the next Life Series so that he no longer has to worry about eating again for a while.

It’s been 84 years... but I’ve finally managed to finish another little fic! It centers around Pearl discovering Grian’s Watcher form that he conveniently hasn’t told her about yet.

Both of them have been hurt in the past, so the story progression is a little rocky. But I had fun exploring how I imagined it to go! Emotional support Scar is also there to help.

Despite how honest Grian tended to be, he was surprisingly cagey with his own personal matters. Only his servermates knew the state of him when he was first discovered, but even they didn’t know the why or the how. The Hermits accepted this under the pretense of privacy. The avian shrugged it off as unnecessary detail, something better off unknown.

So even as he invited an old friend – once thought to be dead – Grian had yet to come clean. To reveal himself to the one who deserved to know the most. Surely he could hide the truth for a little longer? Just until they settled into the new season. When he could finally find the words to explain it all.
