I grew up around really not-normal people. My family is general Hollywood. They’re all artists; they’re creative people who are advocates for expressing themselves. But I also have to say I’m not impressed with Hollywood.

                    ❛      ———   here . that better ?      ❜  slowly and carefully , she reached to gently press her palm against his cheek ; her right thumb caressing his cheek as soft viridescent optics look into his . it`s not often the two are able to break down their cold exterior in front of one another , so when they`re finally left alone . . . she`s able to care for him the way she would want to be cared for . the two have gone through so much and although they barely started moving around together , she has felt closer to nick than she has towards francis or louis . behind his snarky attitude and his asshole demeanor , she can tell that there is another him wanting to let go . her only reason for knowing is because she`s the same way .

it`s not everyday that she`s able to find another being she can relate to , and having nick by her side made this whole situation a bit better . to zoey , her one goal is make sure no harm comes to this man . the soft side to her that once existed when watching horror films with her father became apparent when she was left alone with nick . these feelings of an almost crush came over her like a young girl falling for the boy that picked on her .

SILENCE & A STEADY HEARTBEAT : IT’S JUST THEM . her head rested against his chest as his right arm lay over her shoulder . sitting dormant inside the safe house , she let her guard down for a moment as it has been some time since either of them got some rest . viridescent optics lazily looked at the man in the white suit ; nick . they have been so cold to one another in front of the other survivors but it is nick she is able to find the most comfort in . she gets why he must hide behind a cold exterior , why it`s easier to push people away instead of let them in . since all of this happened , she hasn`t been able to trust really anyone . . . except bill ( oh how her heart still aches with him no longer part of their group ) .

                    ❛      ———   it has been some time for me as well ; anyways , let`s . . .  enjoy our time together before the others catch up .      ❜  zoey`s eyes began to feel heavy as she spoke back to nick . the constant moving and not being able to catch a breather has left her rather weak , and nick felt so comfortable . she trusts that he won`t let anything happen to her , and that`s something she considers rather big . to gain her trust means so much and she can only hope that nick does not decide to break it .

In another universe where the Apocalypse has calmed and humanity is slowly becoming restored, Zoey would actually take up on what her father wanted and become a Police Officer. After enduring such a pandemic, she has found it within` herself that she is meant to be a cop. And she knew it would`ve meant the world to her father that she followed with what he wanted. She was closer to him than her mother, but she knew they`d both be proud of the woman she became / grew up to eventually be.
