Ugh. About to experience my firs v day here. But OMG. The mount of people like "not everyone is rich" like my s/o and I went to a cheap noodle place, saw disciple me 3 and went on a hike when she proposed to me.

Ugh. About to experience my firs v day here. But OMG. The mount of people like "not everyone is rich" like my s/o and I went to a cheap noodle place, saw disciple me 3 and went on a hike when she proposed to me.
So I'm trained on production now. I get a list of things I have to do everyday that I have to finish. The entire day is spent (literally) running around. I work 8-10 hour days without even having the option of a break.
The sucky part of being opening host.
Usually this is a pretty good deal. You get there two hours before the store opens, then get to be first off about two and a half to three hours after. So makes for about a 5 hour day. Which is pretty average here. Now, I'm in at 9. The next host is in at 11:30 on weekends. The 11:30 is a double. They now get to be first off. They leave for break about 2:30. They've worked about three hours. They come back about 4:00. It's been seven hours for me. They get to be first off about 7:30. They worked six and a half hours today. I worked more than them with no break. Last week this happened, I didn't get to go home until after 5. I had been there for over eight hours with no break and no food.
So I bring donuts to work almost every morning.
I do this because I often skip breakfast, and because it makes a lot of my coworkers happy. Bit today one of my managers was like "do you ever get paid back for them?" And I just laugh and "oh, no, I don't." Then he's trying to insist that I start showing him the receipts so he can compensate me. And like...I appreciate it, but tbh, I just wouldn't feel right asking to be paid back for being nice? And it's like $4 and I only work 4-5 days a week so really it's whatever.
A server came up to the hosting stand because he hadn't gotten a table in like, 20 minutes. and started pestering me as to why he doesn't have another table yet. Now keep in mind, I CANNOT control when guests come in. I CANNOT control if a guest asks to move to another servers section, and I'm not going to give a server with 2 tables another table when there's servers with one or no tables. But he comes over and is like "why haven't I gotten a table yet? Do you not like me? Are we not friends? Is this your way of hitting on me?" Now, I'm married, and he knows this. I just about slap him. But instead I'm trying to get him to shut the fuck up because he's doing this instead of greeting the table we just sat him, not to mention while there were guests waiting on me.
Me: how are you today?
Guest: miserable!
Me: oh... I'm sorry to hear that...
