these wallpapers are here for example, and i'd prefer if they weren't actually used by others. please make your own hypersigil wallpapers, you can use mine as inspiration!
i make hypersigillic wallpapers to remind myself of my manifestations and magical aims throughout my day-to-day. these can be made very simply or as complexly as you desire. i like to use these when i have no energy to do real spellwork, because i can do it all from my phone!
i include things that bring me dopamine (fandom imagery, nature, aesthetic images, etc.) to draw my eye
i add pertinent esoteric symbols (runes, sigils) and pngs (tarot figures, esoteric arts) onto the wallpaper
i add manifestations, incantations, or other reminders to the wallpaper in cute fonts
in my substack article on hypersigil spellbooks, i have a description on hypersigils which i'll put an excerpt of below the cut. i will also include the apps that i use to make these wallpapers personally, although you can use almost any photo editing system.
apps:
image sourcing: Pinterest, Picsart (there's probably much better sources than these, i am just uneducated here.)
png extraction: iphone photos, remove.bg
photo editing, png addition: Picsart
text addition: Phonto
custom fonts: dafont.com
excerpt from Spellbooks: Using your Notebooks as Spells 📚📜🖋️✨:
A hypersigil is a long-form narrative work of magic. A hypersigil seeks to produce an overwhelming body of evidence to the senses (waking, dreaming, liminal, and unconscious) that things are different from what the mind tells us they should be. In time, as we build the hypersigil, we tend to see reflections of our written narrative manifest in our life. In Grant Morrison’s case, his comic series The Invisibles was a graphic-novel version of a hypersigil, and one of the characters in the story was a version of himself. As he wrote the stories, various parts of the tale began to manifest in his life, for better or sometimes worse.[1]
We can create hypersigils in a variety of formats; as hypersigils are based in art, there are almost endless forms they can take. One of the simplest and most versatile of these is the notebook, as described in this article.
While tarot always gives three possibilities, Lenormand provides just one. But in many cases, it will be a date range instead of a specific day like tarot can.
STEP 1: Remember these values.

Spring – Bouquet
Summer – Sun
Fall – Scythe

January – Fish
February – Snake
March – Stork
April – Paths

STEP 2: Perform a three-card spread.
“When will I meet my soulmate?”

You will meet your soulmate between winter (Lily) and summer (Sun) — anytime from the end of February to the end of July (Man).
My mama told me that her go to deck was the Lenormand because she couldn't understand tarot. So growing up, I had to learn Lenormand and Tarot to cater to both sides. Here's what I learned when it came to enemies:
The Snake
From my experience, the snake indicates a relative or a betrayal from a close person. It is usually a woman though gossip amongst women in the vicinity is also indicated by the Bird's Card. Generally, an identifier card such as the Lord or Lady will tell you the gender of the person. Also from experience, the snake indicates someone poisoning you which can be symbolic of Muthi being done on you.
The Birds
The Birds indicate gossip in some form, depending on the cards around it (say the House) this can be in the family. When this card comes up, someone is talking about you.
The Scythe
There's a rule of thumb with the Scythe, wherever the point is directed is where the danger is. If the Scythe points to the Garden, it indicates that danger comes from a public space or gathering such as work, parties and so on. If the Scythe points to the Ring, someone is trying to trap you in a contract or management is doing something to keep you stuck.
The Book
The Book indicates secrets of all types. When surrounded by negative cards, it indicates that someone is deliberately hiding something from you. Further divination can be done, using the Book Card as the significator. If it is near the Lord or Lady, it indicates that a person of that gender is lying to you about something.
The Moon
The Moon generally indicates occult works being done against you. Depending on the cards around it, the remedy and placement can be divined. For example, the Moon near the Clouds indicates that a person is doing work to blind you from something, confuse you or affect you mentally. If the Crossroads appears, the work is directly affecting your paths and can be seen as work done near or at a crossroads. If the Moon is near the Clover, someone is trying to steal your luck.
The Clouds
The clouds indicate espionage and coverups. When paired with other cards, you can see what the cover up is about specifically. It indicates that someone is hiding something, generally from public view. When near the Child, it can indicate pregnancy or that someone is being manipulated due to their naivety or innocence.
紫微斗数 [zǐwēidòushù], or Purple Star Astrology, is one of the two main forms of ancient Chinese astrology (the other is 四柱命理 [shēngché bāzì], also called Four Pillars of Destiny or just BaZi). It was mainly used to tell someone’s fortune and maximize their luck and success by looking at their talents and their struggles, both those given by birth and those for specific years or decades. With that, it is commonly referred to as fortune-telling and, wrongfully, a divination art. Purple Star Astrology is a Destiny study and can thus belongs into the Destiny category of the Five Arts in Chinese Metaphysics.
It uses the Lunisolar calender and includes leap years/intercalary months and the new moon.
In ancient times, it was, in big parts, only accessible by the royal family/the emperors.
Components
There are two different Schools of 紫微斗数: One, Flying Star/Si Hua, which utilizes 14 major stars and 4 transformation stars/energies, and San He, which makes use of about 30 to 108 stars. Nowadays, most practioners combine both. Regardless of which school one uses, the Natal Chart is made up of 12 Destiny Courts, also referred to as Palaces (I will further explain those in another post). The Courts can be compared to the 12 Houses in Western Astrology, although they mostly have different themes and are more straightforward in what they govern.
Furthermore, the brightness of each star is taken into account as well as the interactions between the courts/stars in the courts.
This is what a 紫微斗数 Natal Chart can look like:
(You can calculate yours here.)
The chart seen above is a Heaven Chart [天盘]. In 紫微斗数 , there are 3 (major) Chart Types. I will talk about these in more detail in another post, but to sum it up:
This philosophical trinity concept is that of San Cai [三才] which describes the powers of the cosmos. The definitons greatly depend on the different philosophical schools, but the most common idea is that a person as well as their life and destiny are made up/dependant on 3 factors: Heavenly predetermined destiny and luck, earth (environment, nurture), and man (nature, though changeable).
In 紫微斗数, the Heaven Chart [天盘] is basically the Natal Chart.
The Earth Chart [地盘] shows the Decade Chart. It is used to predict the events and nature of a specified decade in the native’s life.
The Man Chart [人盘] shows the Yearly Chart. It is used to predict the events and nature of a specified year in the native’s life.
There’s also the Small Period Chart [小限] which doesn’t belong to the Trinity concept but is used to predict events within a smaller time frame/measure.
What it is for/How it can be used
紫微斗数 is not used for personality study as the most commonly used form of (western) astrology is.
Instead it is, as already mentioned above, a destiny study. It focuses on telling the native about their pre-determined fate and luck as well as about that of decades, years, and other time frames to help build a successful and prosperous life. It can, for example, show things like
where we are naturally lucky
what we naturally struggle with/where we’re unlucky
where we will be most likely to find the most money,
how our relationships and health will be like
what careers we are suited for
how we can obtain happiness
how many children one will have
As it was originally used to help the emperors lead their nation to success, it is a guide that helps to maximize one’s luck if utilized in that way. While it is not definite, it is highly accurate in its predicitions and can thus easily be used in a great array of different situations - be it in choosing one’s path, building one’s team for a project at work, or something completely different.
It does offer some descriptive traits when it comes to a native’s personality, however, if one looks for that it is better to turn to BaZi/Four Pillars of Destiny Astrology as those revolve more around psychological character study.
i don't call myself a good person but rather a responsible person. i see that being smart, good, kind and just is a part of being a responsible person. but to be kind, you need to be proactive because the act of helping, of aiding another person is a conscious choice that you made everyday, and so i would always strive to be one. but being that, i suffer from horrible self esteem issues, i don't usually see myself as a responsible person. although, once in a blue moon, i would be met with opportunities to do good and today was one of those.
today at work , i came in early as always and i noticed that the 3 rooms where i and my coworkers usually worked on this day were unprepared. The ACs were off, the computers and screens weren't on, and there were missing tables and chairs. Being that i already knew how to work everything, i took the incitive.
I turned on all of the ACs for the rooms, then the computer for my room. Just about that time, one of the TAs for the class next to me came in and asked me for help with the computer and i did. Set all of the chairs and tables and then greeted the kids that came in
Later in the class, a pair of security guards came over to each classrooms and when they reached mine, they thanked me for setting up everything myself.
i felt proud that i was able to help myself and others and that i have the knowledge to do so but also like i don't feel much better because that's what i'm meant to do as a responsible person, underlining it is also a fear of getting things wrong too so i need to be careful.

ps. if you're wondering why the date is in French, it's because i'm learning French so the date is in French :))
one thing i have found out about my craft is that my cards can be in a different language from the one i speak. i'm not American or European but the language i think in is English so most of my cards currently are in English. but recently, with the help of my international friend, i found out the name of one of my cards being Degelo - Portuguese for Thaw. then on my own, i found out my most recent card is named Ravaler - French for suppress and Shallow.
lately i have made some discoveries and theories about my own craft and magick. in our community, many people started out with a concept and some don't. people usually asked other more established magical heroes about their concept and how it come to be. they would give it but there will still be a fear about the concept not sticking or not feeling right. so in light of my concept being more stabilized but also incredibly confusing, i want to share it :)))
the purpose of this post is to give an example of how a concept could came to be and how, even when you're deep in the concept, it'll transform a new. and also be a case for how one can continue on after finishing all their quest.
DISCLAIMER: this is all written from my own experience so i encourage you to try and and find out for yourself.
The beginning . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
when i first started out in late 2024 or so, i already new what i wanted to be, a Cardcaptor. one part inspired by the system and my interest, another part inspired by my own interest of the verse. i love Cardcaptor Sakura but i love another branch of their universe more. Specifically, the xxxholic verse. since the beginning of this journey, i have already carry with me the belief and idea of transformation and change and taken my inspiration from the series, i wanted to aim myself as the magician of change, the one that help people move through and change for the better.
as i went on and more cards got captured and alliances built, i got introduce to the concepts of transformation and the many facet and layers of the space we live it. emotions woven and material given action and movements but all of them felt like just states to me, a status of being rather then major phenomenon. Rarely do they, my cards, ever force anything come to be, or force me to do anything too out of my reach for them.
Having finished the quests and realized as a Clow magician, i found out that all of the Clow cards were just an intro and more was to come. right after my judgement day, my first personal card spirit made themselves known.
The new system. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
from the general concept of reality, there are 2 mains core, Space and Time. Space is the sun and moon, the stars and the distance between them. Space is the earth, air, water and air. Space is the state of a subject. this is where i categorized all of the Clow cards.
on the other side of the coin is Time and there are many ways to help understand it but for me, time is the between of space. unlike void, where it is still space but just with out the elements in them, Time is the progression between them.
so because of the mirroring aspect, just like in Clow Reed's system where the cards are separated into 2 major groups, Sun and Moon , in my cards system, there are Vector and Cycle.
under Vector is Edge and under Edge is Entropy and Tempo while under Cycle is Curve and under it is Energy and Rhythm.
as mentioned, this system is based the progression of Change. Oftentimes, Change and as such Time doesn't always move in just strictly a straight line but rather a helix. that's where the 2 major aspect of Vector and Curve came from. Vector is to denote the linear way Time is usually is, with a Tempo of how fast it move and Entropy, the slow decline of energy as it slowly reach the end. Cycle is to denote the larger scale of that progression, with Energy ebbing and flowing to help the subject move along and Rhythm anchor the pace and timing of each cycle.
The new Key and Magic circle . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
because i'm moving onto another system, i'm thinking about retiring my current key and replacing it with a small pocket watch that i can wear instead.
and for the magic circle, i think i'll add more of gear and petals imageries to represent the new system but laying it would be a problem. currently i have this as the presentative for Time but combining them in with the Space aspect is kind of hard rn so that's what i plan to think more on.
The end . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
i think that there will either a whole new full 72 card, or just the 52 cards, mirroring the Clow cards. but also i do recognize that in defining and separating the cards into this system, there will be inconsistencies so if after reading this whole post and you have any questions you want to ask, please ask away :DDD
TIME CRUNCHING - cards for when Time is of the essence.
another entry in my series about using the cards for academic pursuit :))) or just productivity in general. there are many times recently, i was swamped by deadlines of heavy projects and being a person that struggle heavily with burnt out and motivation, i rely on these cards, in combinations with the other cards to help me make it to the deadline.
DISCLAIMER: this is all written from my own experience so i encourage you to try and and find out for yourself what methods/ cards work and which ones don’t.
A note before we start
In media, Time magic is shown as the ability to going back and forth in a linear way, or stopping and starting it at will. this post isn't about that. but instead, it's about Temporal Elasticity—the psychological and procedural art of stretching Time. This is about reaching the finish line through precision, not through the impossible.
a second point is these cards, in my experience, required a large amount of energy to use. so if you want to try, make sure to prepare yourself properly before hand.
The Time - Time Magic
Purpose: To achieve hyper-focus and condense high-volume tasks.
in my study, i use this card for stretching time out. 2 or even 3 hour of work got pressed into 1 hour. i entered this hyperfocus and many things were done in the the course of 1 hour. to use the card, determine first your task and then gave it the command and intention.
Note: after the completion of the task and the card's effect ended, there will be stiffness in your joins and muscles from overexertion .
The Return - Time Travel
Purpose: To return to a specific emotional or physical state from the past.
Just like the name of the card and the episode it came from, This card's effect is about returning back to a state before. i initially used this card for recalling knowledge i have learnt but as it turned out, my whole being was brought back to that time, emotionally, psychologically and physically.
note: make sure that you was in an ok state at the moment you want to go back to.
