Why do people sometimes victimise England and talk about the other UK bros as if they’re the villains here? It’s happened so many times in fics, like they’ve forgotten about King Edward I’s invasions, subjugation of Welsh culture and the great famine of Ireland where over a million people died.

Don’t forget, England was the one who took away Welsh and Scottish and Northern Irish independence. Sure, Scotland might have also made invasions in England, but these people are talking about the UK bros as if England is some sweet innocent child who was terribly wronged by his brothers.

I am so sick of it.

Out of interest, why is Ireland apart of the house of Kirklands? like I get Northern Ireland but it is kinda rude considering everything the actual Irish have gone through just to be not considered apart of the UK and im pretty sure he is cannonically not apart of the house of Kirklands either (coming from an Irish person).

I know he isn't, but I normally include him in the house because there is so much history between him and the UK just to not include him. He is independent so ofc he isn't a "Kirkland", in my hc he used to be cause if the UK brothers (or Kirkland brothers) are brothers because they belong to the same country, then Ireland was once a "Kirkland" when the name of the UK was United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland which kinda can mean that if any current UK nation gets independent (except NI) the "Kirkland" will go away and maybe only England would be the one with it.

I just do it to include the 5 of them and explore their different dynamics, I hc Ireland to have as a surname Murphy but I apologise if you have found it offensive.

I’m not sure if you’ve watched it before, but do you see Wales and England’s relationship like Abby Lee miller and Melissa relationship from dance moms? Like Wales as Melissa and Abby Lee as England?

Cause from what I’ve seen so far with the fandom, is that Wales doesn’t really argue with England much, nor agree, but won’t necessarily argue with him?
