Fires have been burning for days and days here in CA. At one point there were enormous plumes of smoke from fires a few miles away visible from my front door, while another fire ignited in the hills directly in front of my house. Luckily the fire that started near me was able to be put out quickly and everyone in the surrounding areas are safe. But that is not the case for so many across our beautiful state. If you can help in any way please do. So many friends and their families have lost homes and have been impacted in devastating ways. Wildfires are relatively normal here and are part of our natural ecosystem, but not like this. This is different, and frightening, and beyond tragic.
