                                 her hand moves fast as her pencil hits her sketchbook.  vanessa has been in her own head for days.  constant worries of her position in the pack.  she wants to be seen as strong --- someone to rely on in times of need.  that can’t happen when members question her leadership.  her movements are quicker now,  thoughts bouncing left and right.  thank god it’s her break.  what she counted on was having a bit of alone time, but that cuts short as she sees her brother enter the bar.  closing her sketches, one of her many unfinished, she calls him over.   ❝   nate !   ❞   she gestures for him to come over.  quick feet move from out of the bar,  wrapping her arms around him.   ❝   how did your session go today?  --- no, scratch that.  how about day in general?   ❞

                       the bar has been pretty slow for her shift.  only some casual regulars at most,   which knew better than to give her a hard time.   the wolf lets out a huff,   on her feet for what has seemed to be forever now.   eyes blink quickly,   only just noticing another at the bar.   ❝   shit ---   i’m so sorry !   ❞   her silvery voice is apologetic as fast paced movements go towards the other,   offering a smile.   ❝   been pretty slow in here,   just nice to see a different face.   what can i getcha’ ?   ❞
