Reib/the carnival
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Ghnai Kava. Let us welcome you to our festivities.
Perhaps you can escape from that family member that has been annoying you all christmas. Perhaps you can win another few gifts at our games, enjoy our food. Welcome, welcome.
The Operator || Open
It was day, not Reib's favorite part of Earths 24 hours. Their one sun limited the time he could spend in the sunlight, and if he was honest, he'd had enough of that back at home. At the same time, it made him homesick for the warmth that never came on Earth.
However, he dealt with it. They still had people come in the day, even if it wasn't as busy as the night crowd. While people would be busy, he would actually have to move today. Puffing on his cigarette as he pulled on his shirt, he glanced to his messages, wincing a little. Carnesiel was back in town, the demon had done nothing to hide it. Which meant something big was going to happen, and he wasn't sure he wanted to deal with something big. He had enjoyed this tame easy life that had been going on. Away from revolutions and fights, insulting humans on a daily basis.
He could feel it in the magic though, trembling through the world as he slipped on the last of his clothes and stepped outside his caravan. Something was coming, and he had to be ready for it. Another fight, maybe. This one he couldn't run from.
Doing her Rounds | Ariel, open
Bucky may have been slacking off, but Ariel was always good about her work. Generally crowd control, and under that, the walking alarm. She would sense those errant in the crowd, other demons, angels that might put them in danger. It had been the job she had been doing since she stepped into this carnival, and since she had been here since it began, she was the bst. Other than Ben, the younger seeming child who ran around with them.
It was easy enough to charm people with smiles, with the big eyes of the human she was using for a body, with the hair, the costumes. Keep them here, guide them towards Reib's show, keep busy.
Adjusting her hair again over her shoulder, she sighed as she moved away from children again. She had candy in the pockets of this dress, and clearly someone had been informing the youth. She actually had her guesses it was the demon that she was supposed to work with. The one who pretended to be her son. And honestly, she was getting a little...lonely, lately. Dealing with children was fun, but it wasn't quite for the urges the demon was finding.
Bucky's Back | Open
Usually when night fell, it meant Bucky left whenever he could. He wandered towns, cities, he talked to humans, tried to elicit deals, get into their beds (or wherever was closer). He was a kid. Well, a kid that had sex and made sure that people made deals with other people when he could. A kid that worked and ran many of the side shows in a carnival, and handled a large network of crossroads demons in contact for goodies and souls to pass on.
A giant kid that was as old as humanity, as old as the carnival.
This was the man currently striding down the sidewalk, peeking into the shops now and then for things he could use for acts. Feats of strength, or daring, or dangerous things in general that people thought were tricks...and weren't.
Lingering over one window, eyeing the knives in the local five and dime, specifically listed for hunting, he put his hands into his back pockets, debating. Would Reib have a fit?
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, the carnival is in town.
Please, feel free to drop by, step into our gates and experience fine dining as you have never seen at a carnival again, see sideshows you won't see anywhere else and feats of strength that we can guarantee you will never find the trick to perform them. Come meet the operator, and amazing Reib who will use his miracle powers to make your dreams come true.
Come to Ghnai Kav.
We promise, it's something you won't forget.
Dead around here lately.
Doesn't anyone want to see the carnival?
Daddy's Home
“Very nice.” Crossing her arms, she tilted her head to one side. “Guess that could come in handy. Glad t’ hear that all’s well, though. Did’ja go anywhere interestin’?” She chuckled, shrugging her shoulders as if to say she didn’t expect an answer.
"No, actually," Reib admitted, motioning with her to walk with him through the crowds of people as he realized he was struggling to even speak to her over it. "I was stuck here. I don't really travel far, I have to run this place. We moved, but it was work related. Came into town, we'll be moving again when the week is over." One hand reaching up to fix his hat, he gave a laugh. "Part of the life."
Guess I have to get up.
She nodded with a smile. “Yes. Her name is Bow.” She looked to him. “Lucky! Your job must be fun!” She smiled down to her bear then at him as he touched the bears ear. Jinx then nodded answering his question. “Yes. I was thinkin’ you’s wasn’t comin’ back. I liked it when you guys came here.” She told him.
"Bow." Reib repeated, eyebrows lifting as he looked over the animal. "Looks like a Nsit (Nusset) to me." He moved to stand, brushing off his pants as he did, almost looking nostalgic for a moment. "I had a carved animal growing up. But you wouldn't recognize it, and I lost it in moving." Raising his eyebrows, he shook his head. "Something was calling back. We're backtracking towards Tennessee." He started to move to get his cigarettes and stopped, moving his hand away easily. The child was too young to smoke around. "Did you have fun last time?"

“Hello there.”
Welcome to Ghnai Kav! ...or not. Sorry, *laughs* Habit!
Guess I have to get up.
She nodded her head. “Yes. I’s seen you before too!” She looked down to her bear in her hands then at him. “Do you live here?” She asked. “I see’s you all the time here.” She smiled.
"Is that your bear?" Reib questioned, moving to crouch in front of the other and giving her a smile. "Yes, I live here. I run the carnival, actually. The big boss." Of course, with many people, this had been questioned. Reib looked relatively young to run the successful carnival, but he managed, there was no question about it, and if they asked anyone, they'd find him. If he had to, he could claim he inherited it. "Were you waiting for us to come back into town, Jinx?" He questioned, tugging on the bears ear for a moment, and pulling his hand back.
“Certainly quick to pick up on it. Saves me the explanation, though.” She grinned. “Anyway, how’re you?”
I've got an upperhand on that. Can tell the humanity from the more superior beings, always have been able to. I'm doing decently, just coming off of a vacation.
Guess I have to get up.
Jinx could see the carnival was back in town and became exited with the magic and wonder that it brought. It allowed for people to be kids again and she loved it. She strolled in and looked around, seeing a face she had spoken to once before. “Hello Mister.” She said tugging on his arm.
It was the matter of getting used to children, in a way. Well, non-ghniryd children. He had seen the royal family grow up in some ways back in his own land, and had the leaning towards children that they all had. No matter what species, children were to be protected. "I've met you before," He stated, very sure in this. She wasn't human, but she wasn't something he could place his finger on. "Alone as always?"

“Hi,” Mika smiled, placing a hand on her hip. “I’m Mika. It’s a pleasure.”
Evening, Mika. Nice to meet a not-human, as always.
Guess I have to get up.
It's been a nice break. Back to work.
