Be the Change that Changed the World.
August 26, 1963 - March on Washington - Washington, District of Columbia
"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today." - Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
Only a few weeks away from the 50th anniversary of The March on Washington, things have yet to change. Racism can be found in every nook and crevice of the planet. But why during this day and age is this appropriate? Why is it that for the one "extremist Muslim" who commits crimes against humanity, all Muslims are painted with the idea that they are evil and blood thirsty or that the average Black man is considered uneducated and a thief who is only looking for more crimes to commit because that is "all that he knows." All people of Hispanic descent are illegal immigrants, or that all Indo-Canadian men are drug dealers. Jews are cheap, the list goes on. How horrible is it, that we as humans with functioning brains and the capability to form our own ideas are so naive and foolish. Even in the 21st century we still believe every stereotype is correct. What can we do to change this? WAKE UP! Look around and know that every individual is on this planet is here for a reason. We are here to love and make the world a better place. Teach the young and the old that we cannot do this alone. We cannot create a positive and functioning society without the cooperation of EVERYONE! I know its a lot to take in for those of you not willing to step out of your comfort zone AKA those of you who refuse to use your minds to base your own opinions on things going on in the world. BUT GIVE IT A TRY. I promise it won't hurt. And I know my rant won't save the world, but it can't hurt to try now can it? YOU HAVE A VOICE. GET OUT AND BE HEARD.
"And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, 'Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Not everyone is meant to stay in your life the same way forever.
This lesson can be one of the saddest experiences, but it is also important for growth–if we are constantly surrounded by the same people, who would provide us with new ideas and challenges?
"You can tell when something's not moving forward anymore. When the doubts you have about it don't go away."
Jeffrey Eugenides
BEARDS, BEARDs, BEARds, BEArds, BEards, Beards, beards
I am an extreme lover of men with beards. This a compilation of hot men with beards.
DISCLAIMER: Not all men with beards are hot. So that does not mean all you men should go and grow beards. These ones were just the ones i thought of off the top of my head.
Justin Timberlake is one of my favorite celebrity "Man with Beard." Who would have thought that he would one day be able to grow a fabulous beard after barely having facial hair in his *NSYNC days.
This is the first time I have ever seen Prince William with a beard. To say the least I am pleasantly surprised. He should keep the beard in my opinion... It takes away from his impending balding.
David Beckham is hot with or without a beard. I do enjoy the beard just slightly more... SWOON**
Adrian Grenier - He looks like my former history professor... Enough said.
The days of High School Musical are over. HELLO ZAC EFFRON, I want to have your babies.
And of course a meme to end it off. Beards do make a difference. If you're dating someone with a beard and have never seen them without a beard... RETHINK THAT DECISION. You never know what is hiding beneath it!!!
I am a noob to Tumblr. Therefore, this had to be my first post on here...
