Okay So, Stop Me When You Realise How Much Thought I'm Putting Into The Backstory Of A Fictional Cat But, We All Know The Story Of How Meowth Learned To Talk, The Gang, Meowzie, The Rejection, Team Rocket,
It's Pretty Straight Forward Right?
Well, Watching It Back, Something Catches My Eye That I Really Have To Wonder About And That's This
I Mean Yeah, That Gang Really Helped Him Out And He Obviously Bonded With Them, But There Are A Few Pictures There Of Him And The Persian Leader And It Looks As If They're Practically Brothers.
Now, I Know How Meowth Feels About Persians - Giovanni's In Particular
But The Thing Is, Although He Wants To Take It's Place, When They First Met In Training Daze
Aside From Glaring Over The Desk At Him, It Didn't Really Do Anything, Much Less Something To Make Him Hate The Species Altogether And Refuse To Evolve, So I Can't Help But Wonder What Happened To Make Him Hate Persians.
Now, I Could Be Making Incorrect Assumptions Here, Feel Free To Correct Me If I'm Wrong On This One, But My Thought Is - Something Must Have Happened Between Him And The Persian That Ran That Gang Shortly Before He Left.
I Mean, Bear With Me On This Since It's A Bit Of A Reach But, Look At Some Of The Pictures In That Transition Shot
They're Laughing Together, He's Sitting (What Looks To Be Pretty Comfortably) On The Persian's Head, They're All Close Like Buddies Taking A Picture And There's Even One With A Heart Shaped Frame Around It. Based On These Pictures You Could Go So Far As To Say They Were Best Friends, But Then There's No Further Mention Of It Until We Come To The Present And They Meet Again, Where The Only Thing Meowth Says To Him Is "Hiya, Pal"
That Emphasis On The Word Pal Along With This Look Doesn't Exactly Say Old Friends Catching Up, Not To Mention When Persian's Trying To Get Him Back In The Gang And He's Saying That He Doesn't Need Them Anymore, Just Look At How Smug He Looks
Not Forgetting How Smug Persian Looks When He Shows He's Got Meowzie Now
What Happened Between Them, If Anything At All, I'll Leave Up To Your Imagination, My Theory Is That When The Persian Found Meowth Had Been Trying To Walk And Talk Like A Human He'd Disowned Him And Forced Him Out Of The Group (Based On The Fact That You Only See One Or Two Instances In Which He's Running On Two Legs With Them And That He Seems To Have Begun Living On His Own In A Roof Above A Dance Studio). Or There's Always The Possibility That He Was Simply A Rival For Meowzie's Affections All Along, But It's Just An Idea So You Can Be The Judge.
