âItâs our history.â Aston responds, eyes still fixated on the book. âProbably one of my favorite parts.â
âOh...I...I thought you were agreeing with it,â Hugo looked up, hoping he didnât. âDo you? Agree with it?â

âItâs our history.â Aston responds, eyes still fixated on the book. âProbably one of my favorite parts.â
âOh...I...I thought you were agreeing with it,â Hugo looked up, hoping he didnât. âDo you? Agree with it?â
âDonât mind me, Iâm just blatantly ignoring you.â
âAll is good, I can do the sameâ
âIt says it right here⌠Salazar Slytherin created the Chamber of Secrets to purge all muggle-born students. InterestingâŚâ Aston says, reading the line from his textbook. The boy seemed a bit too intrigued with this chapter.
âUh...well...why are you interested in that?â Hugoâs general worry was heightened at the idea of chamber of secrets.Â
âDonât worry sometimes I have to reread my essays a couple times to understand what else I should add to them.â She told Hugo.
âMaybe I just need to think a little more like you next time. Channel my inner Jasmine when writing essays?â
âNo no no. Vulnera Sanentur it is the healing spell.â
âoh...well this is good to know. Okay so the healing spell is the counter curse?â
Jasmine read his essay. âWell you can write how the stars can tell the future, and relate it to divinations.â
Hugo looked at her in aw, âI would ask âhow didnât I think of thatâ, but itâs clear I donât pay enough attention to retain enough information to write a full length essay.â
âYou should know it already.â She laughed. âIâm messing with you Weasley.â
âI guess Iâm the opposite of self-aware.â Hugo smiled, feeling eased by the jokes.Â
*âž â° Hugo !
âI mean I have common sense, so yes, I understand that, but no, I have paid no attention to the actual teaching of counter curses.â
âOh Merlin. Vulnera Sanentur, it reverses Sectumsepra- you know what that is, right? Itâs a healing spell, really important and all that. Sometimes youâll have to do it multiple times to have full effect.â
âSo the counter curse reverses the healing spell? Why would you want that?â
âOh, Hugo,â giggled Roxanne, âI didnât see your face. The sun is so lovely and bright today.â She noticed the broom in his hand and understood his intentions. Propping herself loosely on one arm, Roxanne offered her hand to Hugo, motioning him to join her on the ground. âWhat are you doing skipping class? Trouble at school?â
âItâs okay, Iâm getting pretty good at going unnoticed.â Hugo took her hand and plopped down next to her. He took off some of his keeper pads, giving up on the idea of practicing and giving into to relaxation. âI mean I am always having trouble with school, so skipping class isnât much different then falling asleep in class or just not paying attention, which is what I usually do anyways. What about you?â
*âž â° Hugo !
âWell, I guess I need to listen.â
âSo, basically counter curses just reverse curses, pretty simple, yeah? I mean it is in their name, so you should know that. Do you know any counter curses or have you not paid any attention to that either?â
âI mean I have common sense, so yes, I understand that, but no, I have paid no attention to the actual teaching of counter curses.â
âNo, not that, I was thinking about the fact that Iâm a chatty drunk.â
âOh, well thatâs better than using magic while drunk. In the muggle world, that could get messy.â
Roxanne lay idly on the soft grass of the Quidditch field, basking in the heat of mid Spring. Eyes gently closed, breath slow and calm, she focused on feeling every sensation; the sun on her face, the blades of grass tickling her arms and legs, the slight cool breeze flowing through her eyelashes. Lolling her head to the face the other side, Roxanne sensed a presence near, and she fluttered her eyes open to find an unfamiliar face staring down at her. âHave you been watching me long, friend?â she tenderly questioned the stranger, sitting up her torso as she stretched her arms above her head, letting out a dulcet groan. Â
Hugo trudged out to the Quidditch field with all his hear, broom over his shoulder, looking for a break from school and some fresh air. He set his things near the goal posts and geared up. Just as he was about to board his broom when He looked over, realizing there was someone else on the field. âOh...uh..no, sorry I was just going to fly a little, get some practice in. Sorry, didnât see you Roxanne.â
âOoooh that could be my fault, I spend a lot of time partying in Muggle London.â
âWell, Iâm pretty sure if you preformed magic in front of muggles you wouldnât be back at school.â
*âž â° Hugo !
âUmâŚthat they are called counter cursesâŚâ
âAlright, sit down. Youâre going to learn today, and if you donât get an A on this essay after I helped you, youâre getting hexed.â
âWell, I guess I need to listen.â
âYou are so hopeless. No offense.â
âI am beginning to realize that.â
âLet me see your essay, then I can see if I can help you.â
âOkay, here you go.â Hugo handed the blonde his paper.Â
