”That’s better.”
"Why's that?"
Happy New Year!
And you are?
Avery, yourself?
Switch Off | Avery & Damon
Damon winced, gritting his teeth as her arrowed lodged itself into his shoulder, but he continued his lunge; lashing his grip for her wrist and keeping an eye on the stake as he struggled with her and used his other hand as both an offense and defense. "And I will enjoy ripping into your throat when this is over." he stated. As they struggled, the vampire brought his knee up for a hard slam; still fighting for some sort of upper-hand in the situation.
Gritting her teeth in pain as the vampire gripped a hold of her wrist and struggled with the vampire. "Not today!" Avery waved the stake - that she held in an iron grip - in front of the vampire's face, causing a bit blood to splatter on Avery face. But she didn't care, she kept on struggling with the vampire when suddenly, the vampire kneed her in the stomach, catching her off guard but also, in an natural instinct, kicked the vampire in the down below area.
——— you are a new face.
Congratulations for figuring that part out, would you like an award?
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you too.

"Well of course she is an innocent. That’s part of the fun. Why don’t you people ever understand that?" he stated, rolling his eyes and zipping back to the woman’s door, pounding on it to make her scream and start the tears again; but keeping his eyes on the blonde as she prepared another arrow. "Do we really have to do this?" he asked with a groan. "For starters, I'm not leaving town. Mystic Falls is my home. Second, I didn't shut my humanity off just to roll around with some wannabe hunter.” he stated, veins reappearing underneath his eyes as he lunged at her, aiming to disarm her.
Avery just laughed humourlessly, "Oh wow, I'll enjoy watching the life drain from you." Actually, she liked watching any supernatural creature die. Its something that gave her great satisfaction. "For starters, I'll make you at least leave that poor woman alone. And second, I'm not just some wannabe hunter." Avery let go of the string as she aimed for the vampire's shoulder as he lunged for her. As soon as she did that, she tossed her bow and arrows out of the way and brought out her stake, going into a fighting stance as she prepared for the vampire's first hit.
Switch Off | Avery & Damon
Damon glared as the woman made her appearance, gripping the arrow in his calf and groaning out in agony as he started to pull it out, but stopped and hissed; glaring up at her and eying the wooden stake in her hand. "Who are you supposed to be? Super Barbie? The Blonde Arrow? Maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer?" he remarked and forced himself to lunge off the ground with his vamp speed and give her a firm shove backwards to put space between them, standing on his good leg and clenching his teeth.
"Look. Just run along. Now you’ve gone and ruined all my fun. The woman in there quit crying." he said with a mockingly hurt expression. In a snap, he ripped the arrow free from his calf, yelling loudly and gritting his teeth as he tossed it aside. "Sorry, love. I’m not some newbie vampire that can be brought down that easily."
Avery smirked as she watched the vampire painfully try to take the the arrow out of his calf. "Hmmm, I do like the Buffy one, but then again, me and Buffy have totally different styles." When the vampire lunged at the blonde, Avery hadn't expected it and stumbled back a few steps, but quickly getting her balance back.
"Are you really that sick?" Avery asked, narrowing her eyes at the vampire who was pulling the arrow out of his calf. "That woman is an innocent, far from what you are anyway." Avery then shook her head, grabbing out her bow and arrow again and aiming it towards the vampire, pulling back the string. "No, I'm leaving until you leave that woman alone and get the hell out of this town."
" Do you have any belongings of the wanted?"
"If I did I would've hunted down a witch years ago."
Switch Off | Avery & Damon
Damon growled, leaning to the side as the first arrow was loosed, not expecting it to explode on impact with one of the thick pillars of the porch and hunkering away from it, shouting a curse or two before her second arrow soared at him and buried itself deep in his calf, earning a growling yell of pain from the vampire. "Son of a bitch…" he muttered, snapping his attention to the directions the arrows were coming from; veins prominent on his face. Assailant in his face, he could deal with. Unseen assailants; he wasn’t so good at handling, and he knew it.
Avery thought now was the right time to make an appearance, so linking her bow and arrows onto her back and bringing out a wooden stake, Avery stood up and moved away from the shadows, making her way to the vampire in pain on the ground.
"You know, you sound really think twice before terrorising someone in the neighbourhood." Avery started as she came face to face with the vampire, crossing her arms over her chest. "You never know who's wondering passed."
"Because I have things to do, Miss Nosy."
"Whatever."
" How utterly vague."
"Welcome to my life."
Switch Off | Avery & Damon
Damon lifted a second pot, looking around for where he wanted to hurl it when something caught his attention. It was faint and had he been speaking, he probably would have missed it, but he caught the whiz of something soaring through the air and dropped the pot; whipping around in a blur and snatching the object from the air; inches from his face.
"Well, well. What do we have here?" he asked, looking at the arrow before dropping it and glaring in the direction it had come; scanning for the source as he kept a hear primed to the woman inside her house, who had seemed to lock herself into one room and was trying to stop herself from hyperventilating. "Come out, come out, wherever you are…" he called to his assailant.
Staying low to the ground in the woods, Avery quickly reached for one of her explosive arrows, knowing it would distract the vampire for a moment so she could have another good shot.
Aiming the explosive arrow not too far from the vampire, she let go of the string and the next thing she heard was an explosion, which gave her the perfect timing to move for a moment as she reached for another of her normal arrows, aimed it at the vampire's leg and shot it.
" Who is it that you’re looking for?"
"I don't exactly know, but I'll know when I see them."
" How did you like your motel room?"
"It will do, I mean, it's not like I'm staying here forever. Just until I find who I'm looking for."
Switch Off | Open
"I know you’re in there! You can’t hide forever…let me in!!" he hurled a potted plant against the sturdy frame of a young woman’s house. He had already whisked himself to disable her phones and her cell sat on one of the porch swings; a trophy from his pursuit of the woman. Sure, he could have ended this a while ago, but he wanted to enjoy himself—well, as much as you could enjoy yourself after shutting off your humanity. He smirked to himself, listening to the frantic sobbing of the woman as she ran room to room in a panic about what to do. Any time she headed towards the back of the house, Damon was there to block her escape.
Pulling at her bow, Avery aimed her arrow at the vampire's head. Normally, on nights like this, she would be staying in at the latest motel she was staying at, or hunting down for the supernatural at nightclubs. But tonight was so, different, as Avery decided to venture out into the woods. And a good thing too, as she wouldn't have caught the vampire terrorising the woman hiding in her house. With one more tug at her bow, she let go of the string, hoping that it would reach the vampire before he noticed.
" Hello.. again."
"Oh brill, it's you again. Train guy."
Shame, really. It doesn’t look good on you.
Everything looks good on me.
