I cheated and looked at spoilers for season 35 and HOLY SHIT IM GLAD I DID because if I sat through that entire season just to find out who won at the end I would be BIG MAD

Not 2 be negative but that was genuinely the most pathetic final that the challenge has had in a while, and production ruined the authenticity of the competition for me.

team uk broke ONE rule and got a 10 minute penalty in real-time. they were stopped during their run and forced to wait ten entire minutes. ten minutes in which the americans still didn’t get anywhere near them. Production clearly knew USA would not catch up within that ten minutes but wanted the teams closer together/ give USA a chance

team USA broke three rules and were told, after they already lost, that 10 minutes was added to their time. they had already clearly lost. they basically cheated and were given a free pass because hey, they were absolutely demolished by the UK anyway.

and then after all of that, UK was only given a FIVE MINUTE head start .. production was working to give USA a chance even though they didn’t deserve it becaus they fucking sucked. Totally ruined the experience of watching

On a side note, the only four USA members who made the boat were the only four members who did jack shit during the first half (minus zach). If they had won, I probably would have taken a break from this show.
