my second album ‘diamonds & dancefloors’ came out january 27th and it’s so amazing to have something i worked so hard on, talking about my struggles and hardships i faced. the support has been overwhelming but amazing and i can’t thank everyone who’s heard it enough already. so, if you haven’t consider checking it out. now, do tell me something you’re working on, just released rather than just let me rant about my own work. // @hfrpstarters

one of the best things about releasing an album is the emotional release that it brings. being able to write songs that are so personal and so important really does help the healing process. what’s your favorite song on the album? i don’t have anything in the works so i’m more than happy to talk about your stuff.

I wanted to make something that sounded different and felt different and talked about other things, the very personal, and I don’t know. It really just started out as a… I guess as a challenge, ’cause… Yeah, I don’t know. As a songwriter, I need to grow, I need to… Yeah, so all those things are just skills, you know what I mean, and I can take them back into writing for the band.

No, I get it. My sister said the same thing once her first was born. She’s just given birth to her second, two days after my birthday so I’m blessed to have another niece in the picture too. Who needs sleep anyway? It’s over rated, no? I will.. no doubt about it.

how adorable. think you’ll be giving your parents any grandkids in the future or is that still a very forbidden topic? life is loads funnier when you go through it sleep deprived so i’m not complaining.

Em: Technology. I love to hate it. Let me just set the scene.

Em: It’s a Thursday afternoon, I’m hanging out with a friend and she suddenly gets a call from work. She goes into the next room, no problem. I decide to find something else to watch on tv and am speaking quietly into the remote to try to search for something. The tv responds at FULL VOLUME: “Here’s some information about the sex lives of college girls!”

Em: That wasn’t even what I wanted

luke: let's hope whoever was on the other end of the phones knows the sex lives of college girls is a show. a really good show actually.

ash: thank fuck we decided flying private was the way to go. i'm starting to think it's the only way to make these inhumanly long flights.

i know. ava’s such an attention stealer and i fully blame ashton for it. you’re in LA for the grammys, right? maybe we can get together monday and get that writing session going. i’ve got a few song ideas that i haven’t been able to put down onto paper yet so would love to throw some ideas at you.
