Since my last draft, I have started a new interactive site that will hopefully become my final outcome. My aim is to create an interactive site that presents a range of information about ocean wave energy in a visually interesting and clear way. In the research I’ve done, I’ve found that the information out there on this subject right now tends to either be very dense, technical and not very accessible, or a sales pitch by a company developing new technology and searching for financial backers. However, I think that the potential that exists in wave power is a really important and interesting subject, and I’d like to present the basics of this field in a way that viewers would come away with a better understanding of what wave energy is and some of the developments that are happening with it right now. I think we’re reaching a point where we’ll be seeing a lot more on this type of energy in the near future, and a general understanding of what exactly it is and what it entails will be very important as we make decisions about the future of energy production.
