BE ‘THAT GIRL’ : BACK TO SCHOOL
one. create a strong impression on the first day. first impression lasts. it helps you build a good relationship and image with your classmates or professors. but don’t try too hard, be natural.
two. be on time. sleep early and wake up early. go to school 30 minutes before it starts so that you won’t be stressing.
three. find friends. don’t just make friends, find them. befriend those people who have a good mindset and only surround you with good aura. but also return with the same energy. let them influence you in a good way.
four. stay out of drama. no matter how interesting it is. never let yourself be influenced by those.
five. always stay fresh. a clean look makes you look put together. bring your essentials on a mini pouch.
six. listen and enjoy. once you actually get an interest on the lesson, its fun to listen. analyze and understand and take down notes.
seven. do your hair, a fun hairstyle makes you feel more pretty and active, try to keep a simple yet classy look.

toxic friends + things i wish i knew
introduction:
hey loves! i know making friends can be hard, but even worse than that, making fake friends can be horrible.
toxic behavior:
joking about you for things you cant control (they’ve brought up how i walk funny when my muscles literally can’t make me walk “normal”)
zero communication
gossiping about other people
always talking about negative subjects
you don’t feel comfortable around them
they belittle you
they don’t celebrate your successes
they don’t care about your interests or life
they make rude or snippy comments
they judge your other friends
they’re rude to other people
it doesn’t matter if they’re just rude to you or if the whole friendgroup is rude to each other. this is my friendgroup, they all insult one another which includes me, but it doesn’t make it any less toxic.
what to look out for:
observe how your “friends” act towards other people they’re not friends with
observe how your “friends” react when you need help
observe how your “friends” deal with your emotions
observe how much your “friends” communicate with you
respect is granted but trust is earned.
moving on:
communicate when your feelings are hurt (people might be rude without realizing it, so always communicate about their behavior. if they don’t change then it’s time to get rid of them)
cut off communication
work on bettering yourself and building your dream life
you’ll attract the right people
going into my next school i’m glad that i’ve learned what i learned. after 2 years of fake friends i feel little connection to i now have a better understanding of what friends do and what friends don’t do. i do not deserve disrespect, especially after all the things they’ve said to me. going into my next school im just focusing on school, softball, my style and health, etsy and my hobbies, and i know i’ll attract the right people. best of luck to you all, sending positive energy and all of my love. we’ll get thru this :) -amy <3

stress management tips
don't overbook your schedule, and stay as organized as possible. time block the things you have to do at the start of the week, then work your fun and social plans around that. don't be scared to say no to that lunch or that work thing that would look good but you don't actually have time for. being perpetually available is a disservice to yourself and will have your obligations spreading you way too thin.
plan ahead. try to get any assignments or tasks done well before their deadline. if that's not possible, break the item down into smaller tasks and actually schedule them. plan outfits for events ahead of time. plan out your expenses on a monthly, if not weekly basis. plan ahead wherever possible.
maintain an active lifestyle. exercise is cathartic and reduces stress hormones. set aside regular time to exercise, make it a habit. walk instead of driving whenever possible. find hiking trails near your area for whenever you have a day free to enjoy nature and get some blood flowing.
eat well. try to eat a varied diet with plenty of complex carbs, lean proteins, fatty acids and fruits and vegetables with plenty of antioxidants. this will help regulate stress hormones as well as give you more energy on a day to day basis.
consume caffeine and alcohol only in moderation. if you're drinking to get drunk, or you need a cup of coffee or two to start your day, you need to change your habits.
put your phone away. engage in hobbies that don't require a screen. reading is always a good option. constant exposure to blue light screens will increase your stress levels.
cut out or limit contact with people who drain your energy. there might be people that you love who are going through a hard time but you feel as though your mental health is collateral. set boundaries that are healthy for you. it will make you a better friend in the long run.
stress is a good healthy motivator in small amounts, but it can quickly become overwhelming and affect your quality of life. take care of yourself, because you deserve to be loved and cared for.
how to stay organized in school
keep a planner
use a paper planner, notion, notes app, whatever you prefer to write down deadlines, exam dates, etc.
don’t procrastinate
do what you need to do early on. get it done and cross it off your list so that you don’t have to worry about it later and you won’t have a ton of assignments to do last minute.
organize by color
you may do this by separating classes by color and using highlighters/post it notes/colored pens, etc. to separate topics within each class
be realistic with your to-do lists
don’t try to pile on too much in one day. do your best to evenly distribute your tasks throughout the week.
break up large tasks
don’t try to get all of your bigger and time consuming tasks done at one time. distribute them apart from each other. also, you may split your large tasks into smaller tasks to make them seem less intimidating and more doable.
make your own study guides
study guides are helpful and will not always just be given to you, so use the resources you have to build your own for each topic, exam, etc.
