If he notices her discomfort with his presence, or the sickly countenance that hasn’t improved since they started the eridium injections, he says nothing of it. If he notices, he chooses to ignore it, pushing it to the back of his mind with the same thing he always tell himself;

His brows arch curiously as she speaks, relaying the desire to have flowers, even just fake ones, in her chambers. Real ones, if he’d even allow it, obviously. Jack looks away, rubbing his chin in thought, unsure about the request. What if she were allergic to any of them, if he allowed her to have the real thing? The eridium surely wasn’t doing her immune system any favors.

Still. Somewhere, buried very deep, he missed seeing his little girl’s smile on more than just the picture on his desk.

“Mmmh, we’ll see, kiddo. You have been doing a pretty good job keepin’ tabs on those vault hunting bandits so far.” It wasn’t a yes. But it also wasn’t a no, exactly. “Dunno about real ones, but constructin’ em shouldn’t do any harm.”

"D-Dad? I-I didn't hear you come in." Angel frowned and looked away the moment her father swaggered into her chambers. With a wave of her hand her Echonet shut off above her, whatever she was watching turning into static as he strode in. "Sorry. I-I didn't expect you in person." She whispered, keeping her head down.

He takes quiet notice of the screens before they fizzle out; Nothing seems out of the norm for the moment at least. Jack plasters on the usual smile, albeit less manic and theatrical than it is when he’s showing off. “Well, I thought I’d give my little Angel a visit, wanted to come and check up on ya.” Striding closer into her personal bubble, he stops just shy of getting too close for comfort, his stance relaxing as he stills and glances over his daughter. “So kiddo, how’s it hangin’? Watchin’ anything interesting? Or are you just keeping tabs on everything for your old man?”
