OKAY concept- you know how foxes are sly and witty??? like in folklore and stuff??? well... Hermes IS a witty and sly Messager... SO instead of him being a pigeon, he's a red fox or something. While Ody (Odysseus) is a gray wolf. Don't mind the eyes on Odysseus I couldn't imagine any other on him at the time being :3

please, can we start treat female characters as actual.. people? who are multi-denominational? because i am so tired of most penelope characterization being one of two, she's either this girlboss super Spartan lady who could have killed all the suitors by herself but she was chill about it, or a prize wife, a damsel in distress, nothing but something odysseus gotta achieve and claim. why while trying to empower women we water down and sugarcoat their suffering and trauma? why while trying to show femininity we erase their humanity? why cut and chop the character so she can fit into your only two boxes of how a woman could be? she was strong, clever, sly and beautiful, but her strength didn't come from muscles, seeing "power" only as physical strength is super misogynistic, at least to me. while she was also sorrowful, she was having her own battles, she was yearning and grieving, penelope wasn't "as strong as a man", she was as strong as herself, because only a woman could hold such patience, determination, and endurance in the face of pressure from hungry men who act like untrained dogs.
