Catastrophic hour.

I was standing naked in my backyard feeling the rain upon my skin (good)

when i realized my shed doors had blown open in the storm (bad)

so i ran back inside and put clothes on (unfortunate)

and discovered that the art pieces I had meant to bring inside two weeks ago were covered in water (terrible)

so i threw them inside the garage (attempting to mitigate any further water damage)

and then tried desperately to relatch the doors (unsuccessful)

but couldn’t see the latchhole in the dusk (awful)

and my glasses were covered in rainwater and cloudy (making the situation worse)

so i took my glasses off and set them just inside the shed (bad decision)

and continued to struggle with the latch before dejectedly sitting down in a fit of helpless agony (just inside the shed)

(directly on top of my glasses)

and realizing what had just occurred i let out an aborted wail but still was trying to close the latch in the darkness (futile)

until i went inside for a flashlight and brought it out to discover that the door is now off kilter enough that the latch no longer aligns with the hole at all (awesome!!)

so after trying to force the latch into the hole (until the skin on my fingers was raw)

i end up just resigning myself to the fact that i have to just lean some shit up against the door for the night (haphazard)

until tomorrow when i can drill a new latchhole and inspect everything else in the shed for damage (and hoping the groundhogs don’t pull a B&E during the night)
