I think you are out of your mind if you keep taking jobs that you don’t like because you think it will look good on your resume. I was with a fellow at Harvard the other day who was taking me over to talk. He was 28 and he was telling me all that he had done in life, which was terrific. And then I said, “What will you do next?” “Well,” he said, “Maybe after I get my MBA I will go to work for a consulting firm because it will look good on my resume.” I said, “Look, you are 28 and you have been doing all these things, you have a resume 10 times than anybody I have ever seen. Simplifying the complexity

How do I simplify processes that have been made complicated? 

In my opinion, complexity occurs when people are not considerate. They try to showcase their capabities at the expense of others. Middle office is the most ridiculous function created, made worse when there is not direction given to them.

12 Habits for Life

listened to this video at work while trying to multiple tasks. Realised that I was trying to multiple tasks on top on my tasks. E.g. Running through function specification drawn out by IT, listening to 12 Habits for Life video, thinking about meeting presentation deck, comtemplating whether I should grab that snack or not. 

Madness!

One of the bad habits I have is restlessness. I get distracted so quickly that I get so little done every day. 

My 5 habits for 2019?

1. Don’t skip training

2. Read more

3. Spend less

4. Drink more water

5. Remember to take my supplements
