“Pun? Oh… no. That is actually my name. Victor Frankenstein. Just so happen to be invested in sciences too.” He said. “Nope, I’m no fun at them because I do not go to them.” He moved a bit so she would notice he was uncomfortable with her so close to him. “I don’t know. Science isn’t always exact. Discoveries are not something you can calculate.”

“You don’t go to parties? Why not? Parties are fun!” Peri said, jumping around momentarily to emphasize her statement. “There are people to talk to, dancing to be done, drinks to be had-- You really don’t go to parties?”

“What is it?”

“My mom’s recipe for spaghetti. It’s awesome.”

“No, I’m good. Thank you though.”

“But doesn’t it look amazing?”

“What is it?”

“My mom’s spaghetti. Well, it’s her recipe. It’s not made the usual way.”

“Well that’s a first, I guess it’s nice to know that I have some hidden talents— even if they suck the excitement out of others.”

“You mean you weren’t trying to kill my joy?”

Tink could feel Peri shaking her. She could hear the intense worry in her sister’s voice and tried to tell her that she was okay. The words seemed to refuse to come out, no matter how hard she tried to speak. She wasn’t even sure if she was managing to open her mouth in her attempt. She definitely wasn’t sleeping, she felt like a ghost.

“Holy jingles,” Peri muttered as she looked at her limp twin. “Holy jingles, holy jingles, holy-- What do I do?” Peri looked around to see if anyone could help her, someone not as small as she was. Someone who could carry Tink to the infirmary. “Hello!? Can somebody help me!” she called, hoping someone in the diner might come out and rescue Tink. But it looked as if the people inside were doing their best to ignore her and not get involved. “Oh jeez... It looks like I’ll have to do this myself.” Peri picked Tink up by the shoulders, lifting the girl with every bit of strength she had. “Hang on, Tink... I’ll save you.”

“C’mon, try some! It’s awesome!”

Tink was just minding her own business, walking to that diner across the street. Things for her had been as okay as they get-she was keeping a low profile, not getting into any fights and nothing bad had happened lately. She still got vivid nightmares from what happened on the Vegas trip but as bad as those got, usually if she got drunk enough before she went to sleep, they wouldn’t bother her. She was so exhausted, she couldn’t remember when the last time was when she slept for more than an hour was. She was feeling dizzy when she was walking across the street-the road wasn’t that buys, she didn’t even know what time it was. She probably just needed food. That’s the last thing she remembered thinking before passing out.

Peri had been on her way back to her dorm after taking an adventure to the Hundred Acre Woods. She decided to stop by the diner on the way for a milkshake when she spotted someone lying in the middle of the street. Peri ran to the body, hoping that they weren’t hurt (or dead). It was when she got closer and realized who the person was that she started to freak out. “Oh my gosh, Tink!” she exclaimed, grabbing her sister by the shoulders and shaking her gently. “Tink, wake up! Are you OK? Oh no... Please wake up!”

 Victor held up a finger and shook his head only laughing. “Victor Frankenstein’s creation was a fictional character.” He looked up from his hand and squinted. “I’m researching.” Was one way to step over the fact he does experiment just as the character does on real parts. He wasn’t going to tell this to the girl though. “I’m researching the theory of life and death. But do call me Victor…Frankenstein.” He said with a laugh once more at the whole ironic nature of his name and interests.

“That was a terrible pun,” Peri said as she tried her hardest not to laugh too hard. “Funny and a smarty-pants. You must be fun at parties.” Peri continued to look over his shoulder, resting her chin on his shoulder and she tried to make sense of what was on the paper. “How close are you to making a real living thing...?”

Rosetta smiled as she tugged the blonde onto the dance floor with her. “I think it’s more fun when you’re not alone. You can cut loose that way. You know what I mean?”

“I totally get what you’re saying. I mean, I’m terrible at dancing but even if you suck it’s fun to do!” Peri started bouncing up and down on her toes, twisting from side to side occasionally.

“So… Like have you ever just wanted to dance? I want to dance. You should dance with me.” Rosetta giggled, a smile finding her lips as she held out her hands for the person to take.

“Dancing sounds fun! I’ll totally dance with you!”

“How is it that I’m only just hearing of the party that’s going down this weekend? I thought you’d all be better at spreading news than this, pathetic.”

“There’s a party happening!? When!?”

Quickly a laugh rushed out of him. “Trust me. This is not an experiment done for anything school regulated nor would I ever thing this school would approve of.” The boy quipped sure to keep his eyes on his work. “Of course I am using this empty classroom without full permission.” Victor finally gave the blonde a bit of time and glanced at her. “It’s basically a combination of cellular structures being broken down and… in what I hope to be successfully built together again to form new life from… the dead cells.”

“Not gonna lie, I’m not sure what the means...” Peri said, trying to process what the boy had said. “Built together... form new life... dead cells--? Wait, are you trying to make, like, Frankenstein's monster?”

Quick to react, Max made a noise with his mouth that seemed to resemble the noise a child would make while pretending to use a walkie-talkie and cocked his head to one side during it. “How?”

“I dunno. You just, like, sucked the excitement out of me. Like I’m all happy to be back and just wanna have a good time.”

“I was going to go for a run through the woods – don’t really care what you’re thinking about doing, but hey, I’m sure your plans can’t be any more boring than this uninformative conversation, right?”

“Whoa man,” Peri said, feeling very mellow all of a sudden. The stranger seemed to have sucked the excitement out of her. “That was a total buzzkill...”

Chip raised his eyebrows at how fast the other girl was talking, impressed she had said that much before pausing. “Oh uh.. I don’t know?”

“Whoa! You’re new!” Peri exclaimed, “I can tell. I haven’t seen you around before. What’s your name? I’m Peri Winkle.”

Dipper looked up from his journal completely and utterly confused. “Do I know you?”
