Em 31 de julho de 1965, há exatamente meio século, nascia uma mulher que, décadas depois, após muita luta e persistência, iria influenciar uma geração inteira de crianças e adolescentes a aderir ao hábito de ler. Certamente, sem Rowling, sem Harry Potter, boa parte dos livros e séries de sucesso de hoje em dia talvez não tivessem obtido tanto êxito na indústria literária, já que muitas crianças e adolescentes da geração atual de leitores assíduos iniciaram sua paixão por livros através de Harry Potter. Ler virou moda. E não é exagero dizer que J.K. Rowling possui uma grande parcela de culpa nisso. Então, só temos a agradecer ao Harry (que faz aniversário no mesmo dia que sua criadora) e a essa grande mulher que muito contribuiu e continua contribuindo para a literatura atual, mesmo tendo enfrentado grandes obstáculos para conseguir publicar seu primeiro livro, mostrando ser não apenas uma excelente escritora, mas também uma pessoa de bastante humildade e perseverança. Feliz aniversário, Harry e J.K. Rowling!
