Shoshone feels like the kind of place that keeps daring you to pay closer attention. Not much is happening on the surface, which is probably why it works so well in a frame like this. Desert towns are good at hiding the whole point in plain sight.

Walked around, saw this, took the shot. Bombay Beach stays very photogenic without trying that hard.
