Todd Anthony - Done Wit Dat (Official Video) Although this video is only a couple minutes long it took so much time and effort shooting this video. I shoot, direct, and edit all my videos from top to bottom. This was my first video I began shooting with my new camera and also editing with a new editing software, so there was a huge learning curve and adjustment I had to make. Let me take u through the whole process from top to bottom, it's a lot so get comfortable. First off I record all my music by myself, as I was making this song I wanted it to speak to the place in life I was at at the moment, I took a long break from social media and from the world and I wanted everyone to know that I'm "Done" with my long break and that I'm back...that's where the title comes in "Done Wit Dat" meaning I'm done laying low, I also cut a lot of people off and I wanted the world to know I'm done dealing with people from my past, I'm done helping people, etc. As I began recording my verses for this record I wanted people to learn certain things about me that they may or may not already know, as well as new fans who may not know much about me, so I talk about how I came from Pittsburgh to Atlanta, how I curve girls, I don't have tattoos, I block calls from my old girl, and other detailed things as well. After I finished the song it was time to start mapping out the video, this wasn't easy lol, I wanted the video to match the song perfectly so it took a lot of brainstorming on which direction I wanted to take this video, I wanted the video to feel real and also fly, I wanted to bring u into my world, I began planning outfits for the video so I started shopping all over Atlanta, I went to every mall, every side store, every boutique, to make sure I picked out the best things cause I had to be fly af for this video, I even went and got some clothes made from scratch, at first I had about 15 outfits lol then I narrowed it down to about 8 or 9. After I got all my clothing ready I had to find the perfect locations, so I would ride around Atlanta all day and night looking for the perfect places I wanted to shoot at, I spent a lot of money on gas š©, I drove around everywhere, mind u I'm doing all this by myself so it was a lot on me, I would write down which spots I liked the most and which spots fit the concept of the video the best. So now that I had all my clothing figured out and all my locations mapped out it was time to shoot, as I began shooting it was very tough because I shot every scene by myself except one, I had to keep running back and forth in front of the camera then behind the camera to make sure the shots were coming out properly, I would spend hours and hours on location just to shoot one scene, some scenes I had to even reshoot, some nights were cold, some nights I was tired, some nights were frustrating, some nights were lonely, but I got it done. After repeating this long process with all 9 scenes I finished all my shooting and it was time to edit all this footage. Shooting the video is hard work and editing is just as hard and tiring, sitting in front of the computer for days just tweaking and adding clips then removing clips and adjusting everything to perfection is exhausting, by the time I finished the video I didn't even wanna listen to the song or watch the video for a few days, it took almost a whole week to edit this video, from the time I woke up til the time I went to bed I worked on it. When it was finally completed I didn't watch it for awhile until I showed my sister the video, I wasn't sure how she was gonna receive it because I hadn't looked at it for days so I wasn't sure how good it was, as soon as she began watching I saw her face light up with excitement and I was excited too because it felt like my first time watching it as well, we both sat there and watched it and by the time it was over we were both super hype :) she loved it and I loved it. At that moment it felt like all my hard work I put into the video paid off! It was such a relief and such a great feeling at the same time. So that's pretty much the story of "Done Wit Dat" if u sat through and read this long article thank u :), I didn't know it would be this long but this was the process and I wanted u to know everything I put into it. Thank u again for reading. NGU š¢
