Fake cameos are definitely a thing. Seen a couple, usually just clips of AI pieces, but there one of Ian Bohen and it was long! Almost five minutes long, most Cameos aren't that long, but theres a part where you could tell it was AI, it was almost jumbled like the creator didnt know where to go with it. Its of ian talking normal and then starts to blab a name and and his mom is involved and like just really weird. And then it points out things this person has done, like it was just weird, like the person who created it just wanted validation from Ian Bohen, even though it was so very obviously fake. Celebrities dont have time for that kind of shit. đ Like dont be super obvious in your bullshit.
I genuinely donât even know how to reply to this. đ Mostly because I donât have the context of what you are talking about.
If what you are saying is true (and I understood it correctly), thatâs equal parts bizarre, concerning, and weirdly fascinating in a âwhat is happening to the internetâ kind of way. The fact people are making full-on fake personalized videos for validation is just⊠yeah. Strange fucking times.
What are your thoughts on AI? I feel in some areas of research it could be useful but what about those who use it to replace their own creativity?
I think AI is one of those things that can be incredibly useful or incredibly hollow depending on how people use it. In research, medicine, science, accessibility, absolutely, thereâs real potential there. It can speed things up, organize information, help people learn, even open doors creatively.
I donât think it should completely replace human creativity entirely. Art, writing, acting, music.... that stuff comes from lived experience, emotion, flaws, heartbreak, humor, late nights, weird little obsessions⊠the human mess of it all. Thatâs the part people connect to.
So to me, AI works best as a tool, not a total replacement. Something that assists creativity, not something that completely removes the person from the process. Otherwise you end up with content that technically exists, but doesnât really say anything.
These are some crazy fans of yours on twitter. There is this woman who claiming to be your girlfriend, other fans defending you like you supply them oxygen. I don't know who is crazier. I mean you're just a guy who happens to be an actor. Its not that big of a deal, you just happen to got lucky and got famous for it. đ€·đż
Youâre not entirely wrong. At the end of the day, actors are just people. Some fans get a little intense, some get protective, some blur lines that probably shouldnât be blurred. Comes with the territory, I suppose.
As for the âgot luckyâ part⊠luck helps, but so does a couple decades of work most people never see. đ
It's weird that people are making fake Cameos now, isn't it? I mean, I know some of them are pricey, but AI isn't an excuse to reassure yourself of insecurities. And if you ARE going to make fake videos of an actor, maybe don't make it obvious with details that would never get brought up.
I agree with you, but⊠what are you talking about exactly? This sounds very specific. đ I wasnât aware fake Cameos were becoming a thing now. Havenât seen any myself.
But if people are using AI to fabricate actor videos for reassurance or validation, thatâs kind of surreal and a little concerning. Especially if theyâre stuffing in personal details that immediately make it obvious somethingâs off. At that point it stops feeling harmless and starts feeling uncomfortable for everyone involved.
Internetâs getting weird, man. Weird in ways I donât think any of us predicted.
