Ranger's Log 6/25/22
Hi Rangers!
I have a lot to think about for this week/month/time period. I'm in a little bit of a situation with this girl I know. It's clear to me and to many of my friends that she's super into me, and we've hung out a lot, but I just don't have feelings for her like that. She's super nice and funny but she's very controlling and I'm also quite controlling. It's even more complicated because since we're both girls and lesbians, both of us are kinda unsure of when it stops from being friends to girlfriends.
I've been falling back in love with Greek Mythology again. Every time I get back into greek myths, I find one more person or god, or hero that I really love. In the past, those might've been Hecate for a while, then Dionysus, then Aphrodite, then Persephone, and now I'm really into Artemis. I like what she represents. I enjoy how she's not only a goddess of nature, but she has a double meaning as a maiden. As someone who's not really interested in love or relationships right now, I like how she's just really indifferent about the whole thing.
I'm a high school student, and I think there's a little pressure, although unconscious, from the general public to be in a relationship. Luckily, since I'm only interested in women, there's not a lot of pressure from sources like Prom dates or stuff like that. I'm good with a small group of friends, honestly. Maybe it'll change in the future, but I'm not sure.
As for right now, I'm sitting in my hammock, between what I think is a common birch tree and a Japanese maple. I think the hammock might be too high off the ground, but at this point, I really don't care.
