I find it so adorable how IN LOVE Louis and Lestat are, like they have known each other for well over 100 years, was married for several decades, and yet they still giggle and kick their feet like little school girls with a crush to each other. Like Lestat’s face after Louis thanks him for the Hastens coffin was so cute, he was so giddy and Louis being so bashful when Lestat asked him on the park bench if placing his restaurant near his home was intentional!!! And his little “yea”. I would die for them I swear!!!!!

There's a nanosecond moment with Lestat when he registers what Louis is doing, and you can literally see a flicker of shock on his face.

He is shocked that Louis is holding him like this. He is shocked that Louis is comforting him like this. He is shocked that Louis didn't reject him. He is shocked that Louis didn't leave him.

I'm telling y'all. I could gush about this moment from now on and never get sick of it or ever say enough about how impactful and poignant it is!

there's something really interesting about the way they filmed the scene of the panic attack, when lestat is leaning on louis, and his face is half covered. something about that image is just haunting me (in a good way lol) the way he's kind of being covered and shielded by louis??

Yes! He's acting as the literal shield to Lestat with his body and holding Lestat up to keep him from collapsing.

He's being Lestat's strength and Lestat's shelter from the storm.

And the kiss to his head —

And then Lestat finally letting go and falling into Louis' protection —

Falling into something he's literally never had before. Someone loving him and caring for him without expecting fucking sex from him.
